Distorted Text and Graphics in high sierra
When opening a previously created file, I noticed small visual artifacts in the rendering of vector graphics in the file. As I zoomed in to inspect it, the artifacts began jumping all over the place, and as I zoomed in further, text on the page began presenting the same behavior.
Using InDesign 2017.1, Build 12.1.0.56 on a 2016 Macbook Pro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM), running macOS High Sierra 10.13.
This is a macOS10.13 issue, specific for some Intel GPU cards. Apple has fixed(partially) this issue inside macOS10.13.4 released build.
Following are the workaround for resolving this issue.
1) Update your mac machine to latest macOS10.13.4. Here, Apple has fixed this issue to some extent. You will face very less number of rendering issues.
2) Disable GPU preview and set display performance as typical.
Once you have updated to macOS10.13.4 .You might still face some rendering issues. Since, Apple has not fixed this issue completely.
Please switch off GPU rendering for these cases and report a separate post for tracking.

When I scroll the page off the screen, and then back on, it seems to resolve itself and the gray blocks do not appear on the pdfs I am creating. But it is bothersome nonetheless and it interferes with visibility while working.
I am running an Indesign Free Trial on a late-2016 MacBook Pro 2GHz Core i5 with 16 GB Memory and Iris Graphics 540, running High Sierra. -

Parts of my logo or design work has glitches including white parts and or part of the shape cut out however when I zoom in our out they go away. Was not like this before I updated. And no other adobe cloud program I use is having this problem.

Same happening here. Just upgraded my 2017 13" Macbook Pro (2.3 GHz, Intel Core i5, 8GB, Intel Iris Plus 640 1536 MB) from Sierra to High Sierra. Getting distorted/shattered text and vector images in InDesign CC 2018, that shift and change when zoomed in and out.

I can't express enough urgency on this issue!
Without sounding like a typical w*nker designer – It's impossible to work on anything when you can't preview what your work looks like. I've been using InDesign ever since I was a kid and have never had a problem.
Without sounding further w*nker-ish. I use InDesign for high profile clients and there's simply too much at stake for this to be an issue. Love Adobe and you always do a great job but need to get this sorted ASAP.
I've tried changing the Display Performance settings and turning off GPU Performance but it's simply not performing. My hunch is that this is a GPU / Retina issue as I've updated on my 2010 MacbookPro and it's running fine.

I have the same problem. Even I upgraded to Adobe CC 18 and the same rendering problem exists. It happens also on Illustrator provoking my machine to freeze completely. I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch, late 2016, 3.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM.

Two things are still happening after the High Sierra update 10-5-2017; One, the white background turns artboard color when I zoom. Two, some vector images become geometrically shattered.

turning GPU performance on, using HIGH SIERRA makes graphics go all chopped up. Especially lined or outlined type graphics.
Turn it off and everything fine again.
everything is up-to-date on my brand new MacBook pro 3.6 ghz i7, intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536MB 13inch, 2017
seems like indesign isn't talking to the GPU properly in HIGH SIERRA.

Occasionally parts of the page will be missing—is temporarily fixed when zooming in or out from the current level of zoom, then occurs again shortly after.
