Distorted Text and Graphics in high sierra
When opening a previously created file, I noticed small visual artifacts in the rendering of vector graphics in the file. As I zoomed in to inspect it, the artifacts began jumping all over the place, and as I zoomed in further, text on the page began presenting the same behavior.
Using InDesign 2017.1, Build 12.1.0.56 on a 2016 Macbook Pro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM), running macOS High Sierra 10.13.
This is a macOS10.13 issue, specific for some Intel GPU cards. Apple has fixed(partially) this issue inside macOS10.13.4 released build.
Following are the workaround for resolving this issue.
1) Update your mac machine to latest macOS10.13.4. Here, Apple has fixed this issue to some extent. You will face very less number of rendering issues.
2) Disable GPU preview and set display performance as typical.
Once you have updated to macOS10.13.4 .You might still face some rendering issues. Since, Apple has not fixed this issue completely.
Please switch off GPU rendering for these cases and report a separate post for tracking.

All my works in progress look precisely like those shown in this post if not significantly worse

Any chance anything is actually being done to resolve this problem? or is there a bunch of people working on other stuff at adobe and making their products function the way they are supposed to for everyone is not on their agenda?

Commenting again in hopes it helps raise a red flag for you guys to actually notice the problem and work on it. I have no idea how this is still an issue, a friend of mine had some similar problem with a different program but it was fixed within a month. Really tired of knowing that I am paying for two applications (Illustrator and Indesign) that can not function properly...seriously considering leaving the adobe CC ecosystem

Also have this problem and it is SUPER ANNOYING in my line of work. Please dedicate time to this issue because it makes effectively creating the work I intend to practically impossible when I can not see the text that I use on them. I know this page might only have roughly 130 (at time of posting this) votes, but its very aggravating and I am sure that even more people are annoyed by this problem than the amount who vocalized their opinions on this page. I love you Adobe, but it would be great if this were to be fixed really soon...

Regularly I get grey triangles in my Indesign files, which will go away after I make a small change or move my cursor. This is only in Indesign.
Using MacOS High Sierra with Indesign CC 2018 on a new Macbook Pro with two screens. (also happening on just the macbook screen)
It doesn't affect the file and the triangles are not physically present. -

Fix graphics rendering issues in InDesign on MacOS High Sierra 10-13-2 ons. 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro. Gray triangle boxes appear and sections of type, strokes, and other graphics are missing!

I also disabled GPU performance and it's looking way better! Thanks for the tip, would recommend you all give this a shot in the meantime.

It's really annoying that I have to pay for software that doesn't function correctly. I disabled GPU Performance under preferences it fixed the display artifacts but the program is very laggy and slow. Hopefully it gets fixed soon because this is super annoying.

Yes we are having the same issue with the rendering of a background color getting split across a shape at an angle. We are also having problems where one editor editing text will cause a text box to move down. Indesign is currently unusable for us.

For the people who can't work; I just downloaded Indesign CC 2014. Just save your design in .idml and open it from there. I have no glitches anymore.

Hope this glitch is fixed before I start my final exam in Graphic Design... Why does this take so long?

How can this error still exist, i am affected in both indesign and illustrator, and it is annoying AF to work with these fokked graphics.
Atleast give us an update when to expect a possible solution.
