It is highly recommended to add a stroke unit toggle on the right click of the ruler.

Things on the artboard moves when adding pages
I work on long documents and sometimes I have notes/objects/revisions for my team about the page to the side in the artboard. But adding pages moves the artboard and it's object away from the page and sometimes I don't notice for a while. I recognize there is a notes feature, but sometimes it's alternate versions of a table or object that need to be reviewed before implementation or are on hold. It would be a really useful toggle option.

Display effective ppi and actual ppi of selected image at the Control panel
I'd like to see the effective ppi and actual ppi of an image displayed at the Control panel for easy of use. It's a very important information for me as I routinelly place several images on our publications and it's really cumbersome to have to open the Links panel or the Info panel just to check an image resolution while there's plentiful of unused space at the Control panel where this information could sit.

Remove the floating "help with a feature items"
I wanted to share some feedback regarding a recent usability issue I’ve experienced across several Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
In recent updates, each of these programs has introduced tool-specific pop-up panels or hints that appear when a tool is selected. While I understand the intent is to offer helpful tips or highlight features, these pop-ups are consistently disruptive to my workflow. They frequently appear directly over the content I'm working on and are difficult to reposition. Could we make the Background task icon animation work harder?
The current icon appears next to the share button on the top bar when we export a PDF, what about including the percentage within the revolving circle? Saves me open the tab to check for bigger docs. Thanks!

Arrange features
I've been frustrated with the new way dragging a document tab to make it a seperate window forces it into a split screen first, and then I have to grab the tab again and the second time it actually makes it a new window. I'd like to be able to toggle that feature on and off (I'm sure it works for someone's workflow). Additionally, the document window edges often hides under the menu and/or below the edge of my screen. Delete unused
In several menu's 'Select unused [...]' can be found.
I think everyone uses this to get rid of unused Swatches, Styles etc.Why not add 'Delete unused [...] to the menu?

Screen bug when using an external monitor with a laptop (Mac thing?)
When I have a file open, and the laptop sleeps or I close the lid, when I come back, the file is half way down the attached/big screen, instead of where I left it (full screen), it's only a little thing, but it's so annoying!! Please leave the files where I put them on the screen!

Quickly Change Icon Panel Auto Collapse
Depending upon the type of work I'm doing, I find myself going to Edit > Preferences > Interface and turning on or off Auto-Collapse Icon Panels.
It would be very convenient, and save several clicks, if this could be done on the Icon Panel itself, either with a checkbox or a toggle icon.1 vote -

Sometimes it's a bit troublesome to switch between alignment panels, so I would like to add a more direct alignment panel to the control bar.
Can quickly align to bleed, margins, centre of plate, horizontal centre, vertical centre.
There is also a function to align to a reference line (the reference line and the object are aligned to each other).It's kind of like the table control

Add option to open current working folder when using "relink" option
Hello,
can we please have an option to open/search in current working folder (where the .indd is saved) when using relink function, rather than opening previously used links folder.
make it a toggle option for users that prefer its current state

Dark Theme: more contrast for sliders
For the darkest InDesign theme (which I love and use all the time) increase the contrast between the slider and the slider tray. I always have a hard time finding the slider. This is not so much a problem on the monitor in my office, but traveling with a laptop in different lighting conditions it's sometimes impossible to find the slider.

Article panel should help in showing items as ‘marked’
Like there is an option for xml structure to show colors of marked frames there should be a similar option for frames and stories that are already present in the article panel.

Unified Windows 11 User Interface
I think it is of paramount importance that InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop should better integrate with Windows 11's Dark/Light mode. Why is still that the menus and menu options are still white even with the application set to the darkest mode? It is a horrible design inconsistency.

Keep workspace window details expanded/open when switching to another program
When I open the details for a specific workspace window, and whilst doing this, I switch to any other program on my computer (specifically on another screen), that window closes until I toggle back into InDesign.
There are many times where I need to reference that information, whilst accessing another program, and this proves obstructive.
For example: I expand links window to see a link's path which, for one reason or another, I need to find manually on my computer... those details will immediately disappear when I switch to my finder to search my computer...

Group/Organize Parent Pages
It would be very helpful for larger documents if I had the ability to group/organize the parent pages in their panel. I am currently working on an urban planning document where each section of the master plan (parks, housing, wastewater, etc...) has a different colored footer and chapter page, so I have 8 different footer parent pages and 8 different chapter pages, on top of the 10 or so general layout parent pages I create for our urban planners to use as templates. Consequently, navigating the parents panel requires a LOT of scrolling. If I could just group all my…

UX improvement: When changing color on selected Text Fields, Text Color should be changed over textfields background color
It happens so often that I select a textfield, quickly pick a color from the color swatches and the entire text field gets a background color - although I obviously wanted to change the text color.
I have to manually go in and switch from text field background color to font color. I think this could be avoided.1 vote -
Preferences Search
It would be very handy if we could search the InDesign preferences. Sometimes it's not easy to remember which section a particular preference setting is under, so it would be great to be able to do a search for, say 'Default View', which is under 'Display Performance'.
Surely this wouldn't be too difficult a feature to bring into InDesign (and other Adobe apps)?
