Please add back Pantone colors. We are paying for it through subscription!
We, (Us designers and print brokers), all pay for a monthly subscription to the creative suite. Its a shame that Adobe cannot come to some sort of agreement to use the STANDARD of color based over the decades. Maybe if Adobe carried a basic set and then, if users wanted the entire pantone library, they could have it as a separate subscription add on. Just Saying.

Please make it possible to bulk edit colors in a merged document.
I often need to make a global color changes like you can in Illustrator. After spending an hour manually editing the spacing for each entry (some cursive fonts have funky spacing), it's maddening that I can't then change the color in the merged file when the color is coming out wrong in print. Please help!

Same Gradient-Tool as in Premiere Pro?
In generell - why not make all tools more consitent? Gradients in InDesign are still way behind Illustrator, while both lack the elegant, intuitive rubber band of Premiere Pro's gradients. I think, everyone would love the Premiere Pro-version in InDesign (and Illustrator, too, because it doesn't feel that fluid there!).

Load Swatches - Add an option to overwrite existing same name swatches
Load Swatches - Add an option to overwrite existing same name swatches, rather than simply renaming the incoming ones. Or an option to rename the existing swatches instead. It amounts to the same thing and would have saved a bit of time on a job I just did.
Why is this text field so small?

Option to select pre-loaded colour palette .ase file at new document stage
At the new document phase of indesign, would be great to have a feature where you can drop in pre saved colour palettes, which you can then select based on document / brand and they then load with the new document.

Option to convert colours to process when importing links
I work with files from numerous territories, so sometimes I import vector logos or illustrations and they have spot colours included in them, either by accident or the other territory has used a spot colour and my client doesn't want to. Could we have a way that InDesign can show a warning when importing new assets so that I can decide whether to convert all colours to process before dropping into my document? Or maybe have an additional warning box that allows me to convert before I export to PDF? This would remove production errors and delays at printing stage…

Find/Change - Colour - Selected items?
So, thought I would use this Find/Change - Colour to change all the colours of text/strokes/fills on a page in a college prospectus I am designing (each curriculum area has a different colour).
There is no 'Selected items' in the search area. Only Document or All Documents. Wouldn't be so bad if it started on the page you was on, but no, it starts from page 1 every time making this potentially useful feature useless to me for this problem.
Can I please request an option to add 'Selection' and or 'Current Page'.
Thanks for your help.

Add more than 1 color swatch at a time to CC Libraries
I'd like to add a group of color swatches in one quick instead of one by one. It would save me a lot of time!

Let InDesign pick RGB colors from RGB images in RGB Blend Space
InDesign will be used for onscreen documents ore and more.
Please facilitate that in the eyedropper.Maybe an easy switch to make a document RGB or CMYK would help (like in Ai).

Gradient Angle should be saved in Swatches
Colour gradients can only be saved linearly without angles.
It would be nice if the angle could also be saved in the colour gradient, especially for texts and lines.30 votes -
Warning for Registration usage
WAY too many designers use Registration as a color in their jobs. This is a MAJOR mistake for print design. Indesign desperately needs a warning that can not be disabled every time Registration is attempted to be used, warning designers that it is NOT the same as Black, nor is it a "rich" black, and it WILL cause problems in printing.

Copy CMYK, RGB values in Color Picker as text
I would like to be able to copy RGB or CMYK values as text so I can paste them elsewhere. This would be helpful in my daily work where I make color palettes and then describe them with text in a brand guide.
