Bug: Import XML with tagged cells
Indesign CC 2018 crashes when importing XML with a tag mapped to a cell-style. This problem does not exist in Indesign CC 2017.

Scripts integration in the InDesign Templates
Currently we're running the scripts for particular templates separately, but it'll be good, if we have an option in InDesign to integrate those scripts in the same templates. So running of scripts will become mandatory without depending on the users to run.

Make layercompositions targetable with scripting
I want to change my applied alpha-mask (psd/tif).
What I have to do is browse to the image, reimport it (with import options true), just to select another alpha mask.
While scripting this, I found out, that the DOM is missing the layercomps. If a layercomp was set in InDesign away from default, re-importing a image by script will losse the selected layercomposition.

Combining Text Variable and custom Script (Calling a script to compute text variable instances)
Text variables sometimes require more complex processing of conditions, and the list of variables that we have now, with rare exceptions, is more like "text constants".
It would be nice to have a new type of text variable, the instances of which are calculated using a custom script, with each inserted instance having to be calculated separately, depending on where it was inserted.2 votes -
Datamerge option to use specific templates for the same input source
Let's say you have to make shipping marks for example 100 pieces where 30 pieces have template 1 as layout or master page. and 40 layouts 2 and 30 layout 3. it would be nice that i would be able to create 1 scv file and in that will i will have 1 column that tels InDesign to use for each row a specific template file or a specific master page. if it will where you can use the template file then in does templates the data merge links will have to be the same for it to work. Change Bar
Change bar, as a very basic future and just as applied easily in Adobe Framemaker, I belive most users will welcome this if it is added at no cost.

vocabray of dictionary - its accuracy of correction & words suggestion
Today the all dictionary & spell checking take the resource from internet too - like a from wikitonary, google translator to have more vocabray. Please make sure & improve this function.

Make possible search-for-tags in Story Editor
I need to search for tags in Story Editor, or in any manner besides the Structure panel, to remove conditions that are arbitrarily applied by InDesign (when a word has a condition applied).

Data Merge - display # of records per row based on CSV values
Data Merge - When displaying records on a page, show records per row of data based on that row's column quantity value. For example, I have 100 records across 100 rows of data, and 1 record needs to be printed twice, another 3 times, another just once. Instead of the current workaround of having to create multiple rows for each record based on their desired quantity, I'd want one row per record and have one column called X (qty) to tell ID how many times to display that record.

Стало плохо работать
Добрый день, после обновления Adobe InDesign CC 2019 - стало все очень медленно работать, нету возможности работать, сообщите пожалуйста что сделать что бы все опять заработало, в программе после каждого действия начинает крутится курсор обработки информации, я думал что проблема в файле, после перезагрузки я попробовал создать но новый документ, программа тормозила даже в момент создания нового документа, банально перемещения по окошкам каждое действие выполняется по 10 секунд и более

Is there any option to view the HTML tags as rich text on Indesign Pallet?
We have a plugin & that will shows the notification from another website in Indesign pallet. But when we add the text as HTML tag, it's not changing the tag into formatted text (just Bold/Italic). Is there any way to display the notification as rich text including color?

Provide an option for placing multipage PDFs where the number of pages imported into the InDesign document is variable.
When I use the PlaceMultipagePDF.jsx script, the number of pages imported is static based on the number of pages in the PDF being imported at the time. However, if pages are added to the PDF being imported, then when I reopen the InDesign file, I only see the original number of pages and not the additional pages that were added to the imported PDF.
The PlaceMultipagePDF script is a valuable automation tool for recurring reports with regular updates. However, I lose all this automation if the number of pages in the imported PDF changes. In those cases, I have to…

batch errors delete
I am using pictures with metadata in my document based on a master page with predesigned layout. I need to show this metadata in multiple live captions, but the problem is, when i have a pic without any data in particular caption i get an error in prefligt with unresloved caption variable, which is ok, the link does not contain any data in that field. But i need to get rid of all empty text frames before exporting the document. Any ideas about how to delete them all at once?

Can we please have an action/automate function??
Would love an automation function so I can automate the repetitive tasks that I spend hours doing over and over again. This function is in Photoshop and Illustrator - want this for Indesign!

script no longer works in Monterey
Don't Adobe and Apple talk to each other? Every time one or the other changes tech, nothing works. They need to be on the same page as each other because it goes hand in hand with their products working together.
