  1. A keyboard shortcut that forces InDesign to look within its enclosing folder for links and fonts.

    Currently if you are working with files on a VPN connected server InDesign tries to link to images and fonts on that server. Even if you have the full packaged file on your local drive InDesign still tries to link to to the VPN server. So I would like to see a way of overriding this, and I think a keyboard shortcut to force InDesign to link locally would be a good solution.

    Feature request: please give us the option to send the comment status from the ID PDF Comments panel back to the originating PDF. Our workflow continues to use that original PDF for comparison with the new PDF to cross-check that the alterations were made.   7. Add "Grid Calculator PRO" by default in Adobe Indesign CC 2020 or improve the setup of grid / baseline grid

    The plugin "Grid Calculator PRO" (https://www.designersbookshop.com/grid-calculator-pro-edition.html) is perfect.

    With this plugin you can configure the grid and/or the baseline grid precisely much more that with default setup of Adobe Indesign CC 2020.

    It would be interesting to integrate this plugin directly in Adobe Indesign CC 2020 or modify the currently setup of the configuration of grid / baseline grid feature adding more options for this elements.

  10. Export JPEGs with Text/Art optimized export settings

    I consistently use InDesign to develop static mobile and web banner and export them as JPEG or PNG. Currently I feel that the quality of the export is not as good as an export from Photoshop or Illustrator - there is no ability to prioritize the text or artwork like the two software can. Could this be added in InDesign please, maybe even mimic the save-for-web functionality from Photoshop/Illustrator.

  12. GPU usage is a feature that many indesign users need today.

    Please enable the graphics card function in indesign for windows. I have high performance equipment. But this is of no use in indesign for windows. GPU use is a feature that many InDesign users need today. Differentiating between MAC and windows users is very upset.

  13. How to put Change bar in Indesign

    Hi everyone!

    When working on technical documents we change/update something on page (a row, figure, text or table) and we want to put a sign (vertical line) next to that row, column or figure affected from this change. By doing this we want to inform users that there is an update along that vertical line and attract their attention.

    Another important thing is that vertical line shall move together with affected row, column etch.

    This function works god in Framemaker but unfortunately now I have to do it in Indesign and could'nt achive.

  15. One-click, easy install for Hunspell dictionaries

    Please, please make the adding of Hunspell language dictionarys easier.

    Have just added a Hunspell language dictionary to InDesign. Wow! What a difficult un-user friendly process. I had to Google to find the baffling instuctions and followed the lengthy guide on InDesignSecrets website.

    It's not just me that finds the whole thing so complicated - the InDesignSecrets instructions end with the following words -

  18. Apply Master Pages Across Multiple Documents in a Book File.

    I use Book Files quite often in my job to create catalogs. These catalogs have multiple sections. It would be nice to be able to set up master pages one time that could be shared for all the documents that make up that book. Kind of like applying the same exact character or paragraph styles across multiple docs.

    Where's the link that leads to the latest releases known issues list? It's hard enough to find the release notes for the newest version release.

    It should be a simple link right under the is this compatible with your computer info in The creative cloud desktop app.

    I need the list of known issues with the latest release to determine whether or not I'm going to upgrade to it or wait until a critical issue is resolved.
