    I have two more observations which may help in solving this issue:

    (1) I'm pretty sure the problem relates to Ruby text in the tagged text.

    (2) I've submitted this problem using ID 2024 CJK, but I'm pretty sure that it has been a problem since at least ID CS 6 CJK.

  5. InDesign 2024 starts with "CreateObject("InDesign.Application.2023")" in an environment where 2023 and 2024 coexist.

    I agree with the basic gist of this bug report. However, I think the description is a little backwards. When I use the command
    CreateObject("InDesign.Application.2023")
    my expected result is
    InDesign 2023 will start
    my actual result is
    InDesign 2024 starts.

    I agree with Anonymous and wish that enableRedraw (or something similar) would keep ID from updating the screen while a script was running.
