Whenever I switch my project to Overprint Preview and left-click my mouse to make an action - move a box, select text, anything - the entire screen flashes white/blank for a second. When selecting text it flickers constantly until you release the mouse. It’s really frustrating and causing me eye strain with the constant flashes.
This wasn’t an issue in earlier versions. Illustrator, InDesign - both now have GPU preference issues. Why are there so many problems with GPU preferences with Adobe software?
I’m running a Mac mini, Sonoma 14.2.1 with Samsung U32J59x Display.

The issue of Application Window getting resized after waking Mac machine from sleep has been addressed in InDesign 2024 19.2 Release.
An error occurred while saving the comment Eddie Deighton commentedUpdated to 19.1 and the issue is STILL occurring. InDesign team - do you not communicate with the other app teams? The Illustrator team have resolved this problem now - try talking to each other.
An error occurred while saving the comment Eddie Deighton commentedThis problem appears to have been fixed in Illustrator and Photoshop - when is the fix due for Indesign?

An error occurred while saving the comment Eddie Deighton commentedI also have this problem and it's causing a real headache as I have a list of 15 ingredients that are bullet pointed and the font needs outlining for print. There's no way I can manually add them in for my deadline! This seems to be a really stupid oversight when they are such a commonly-used function of the programme! Running 18.5 Mac OS Ventura 13.6.

An error occurred while saving the comment Eddie Deighton commentedProblem is still occurring in 18.2.1 - text does not preview immediately if I am selecting a new font, new font weight or changing font size. Sometimes the entire block will disappear whilst it is changing format and it takes seconds to refresh. Considering I'm on a relatively new machine, the latest version (2023) seems really sluggish, too.

Please update to the latest version available to you via Creative Cloud Desktop application. Thanks,
Adobe InDesign teamEddie Deighton supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Eddie Deighton commentedI have exactly the same problem. I am pasting text blocks from a client's template into our customised template and every box is re-setting, causing all kinds of issues because I am having to visually correct each box. What a waste of studio time. I am running 2017 (12.1.0). 14.0.1 is all kinds of sluggish on our machines and is unusable, so no chance of updating to 'fix' the issue because the latest version comes with its own issues. Just... great.
An error occurred while saving the comment Eddie Deighton commentedI'm having a similar problem. I am copying a number of text boxes from a client's template to use in my project (which was previously the same template I'm copying from, just renamed!) and it will not retain Text Frame options when I paste in place. Text is both hyphenating differently and alignment is different. All Text frame Options seem to be the same when I cross-reference the settings. No idea what's causing it.
I am running latest version of InDesign CC. Side note: it would be nice if the CC menu bar at the top told you which version you're running when you check your list of apps ;)
Unfortunately, it hasn’t. It still flashes once when selecting an object or text box and moving it. This occurs every time you do something, even if it’s the same item, not just the first time. Is this an Apple issue then?
