Hi
There are two different issues mentioned here, and let me address them separately:
1. Clicking a blank square then using eyedropper tool to copy color values from an existing vector graphic, the vector graphic container changes color instead.
>>> Are you facing this problem with a specific vector graphic or with any graphic as I am unable to reproduce this issue with InDesign CC (13.0.1)? If possible, please share your indd file as a package with anasgupt@adobe.com and a small video demonstrating the issue will be really helpful.2. If I draw two squares, one black one white, then select one to copy the color of the other, the selected square disappears.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedWhat's the point of all these new ID file formats? Didn't they already change it late 2016? Were there so many file level improvements to justify doing it so soon again? I can still open new Illustrator and Photoshop files across versions of those apps, why is InDesign treated differently?

It's not just when deleting characters but adding them too. If I'm testing 2 different words for a headline for example, I have to undo/redo 3-4 times to switch between the words. Previous versions of ID allowed me to compare both versions with 1 undo/redo. This doesn't sound like a feature to me though it might be to others. Adding a preference for undo behavior would be the best compromise.
