Better collaboration between InDesign and Lightroom
For creating photo-books, magazines, or any piece of work which includes photographs, much better collaboration between InDesign and Lightroom should be possible. The ability to view Lightroom collections from inside InDesign, drag and drop into ID, and have those pictures refresh themselves automatically (if they are further edited in LR). I know this could be complex from an export perspective, but the LR book plugin (however basic it is) manages it.

commentedThat the collections and/or albums can be visible in the CC library to make the images accessible from InDesign, or any other application, without going through the export step, and therefore yes automatic update if they are further edited in LrC and/or Lr (share of the smart previews already on the cloud ?)

Sami Gale commented This would be amazing! Especially if it worked like a toolbar inside indesign.

Stig Andersen commented To me, a drag-and-drop or similar place-type functionality where I can easily insert pictures from Lightroom into my InDesign projects is a critical improvement to InDesign.

commentedHaving Lightroom collections work like cc libraries would be incredibly useful. It's often not until you see your photos laid out in a photo book spread that you think you might like to change the look and feel of them. Being able to work in Ps or LrC and then see the changes directly in your Id project would save so much hassle and back and forth. You could also work with two screens. Even better. Surely these days there are loads of people designing books in InDesign who are also the creators of the book's content? I don't understand why this isn't already a feature.

commentedYou have the ability to edit pictures in Photoshop right from Indesign. This will open up photoshop and allow the edits, then save and then update the picture in InDesign. Add lightroom in addition to Photoshop. Some edits are better in Lightroom and it would be great to have it update Indesign. once the edit is done, like with photoshop. There is an option to Update the links if necessary and I am good with that if giving the ability to edit from Indesing to Lightroom was an option.

commentedI would like the ability to be able to place images in InDesign, from Lightroom, with LR adjustments. I can place live captions from LR to ID, why not images. Having non destructive editing and then having to physically export all photos out of LR with hard edits and then reimport into indesign is inefficient and silly. User want a simple integrated process when using Adobe CC products, not a complex, time consuming workflow.

commentedWould like to access my lightroom collections / albums to other Creative Cloud products for example indesign, so creating link to catalogued images, just like the stock library functionality
