Text box disappears, styling not displayed in real time
I am using the latest Indesign update for M1, 16.3.2 (Big Sur 11.4)
I am now having problems where the text box that I am styling disappears. I either have to zoom in or out, flip pages, or now go as far as closing the file and opening it, because Indesign is either not displaying the changes made, or the text disappears. Placing a cursor within text is also not accurate, and either a character to the left or right.
These are new issues, please advise.

I am finding the same issue on M1 MacBook Pro, has anyone found a sustainable solution?

Same issue. It's becoming impossible to work on longer documents. It's becoming "mentally" impossible to work on longer documents. Please. Fix this.

Same issue (M1 Macbook Pro). If I turn on Overprint Preview, the issue goes away, but thats not a real fix, just a workaround.

Been dealing with this as well, using version 17.0 of ID on an M1 Macbook Pro. Super frustrating to work with, it's slowing my productivity way down because I keep having to zoom in/out, click around, and go in and out of preview mode.
I've also noticed sometimes when I move an element and view in preview mode, it acts as if the moved element is still in the old spot – when can we expect a resolution! :(

Same issue here, is it an M1-specific thing? Makes the app almost unusable for text layouts.

Same here! When entering a text box to make modifications to the text (typing e.g.) it just goes blank. Deselecting the textbox and then scrolling brings the content back. Hope this gets fixed really soon.
