2. Dialogbox "Fileinformation" nor correctly displayed

   When opening the "Fileinformation" dialogbox , the box is displayed, but too big and can not be resized. When trying to moved it, it can suddenly disappear and Indesign can only be closed via Taskmanager.

   This seems to be a bug existing since many years (since 2016 !!!) affecting HighDPI monitors and also being present in other Adobe CC apps:

   In my case it happened with latest Indesign (18.5...?), latest Win11 on a Lenovo notebook with a 15" HighDPI screen.

   this makes it also imposible to read the "About Indesign

3. Accessing alternate characters in fonts for paragraph styles

   Environment
   MacOS: 13.5
   Adobe Indesign 18.5
   Version of font: Inter Medium 3.019;git-0a5106e0b

   Recently I have been trying to access the alternate closed ‘a’ character in the font Inter from Google fonts. For some reason I can not access this alternate character and set as a universal style to apply to other text boxes.
   I have approached GitHub to flag Inter with issues but have been informed that it might not be an issue with the font but rather how Indesign UI is accessing it. Please note that Adobe Illustrator seems to access this alternate closed ‘a’ character with the Open Type ‘Stylist Alternatives’ option but Indesign can not.

   Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
   Using Inter font - Type a normal ‘a’ within text box in InDesign (Ive been testing Inter Medium but seems any Inter weight should replicate the issue).
   Try swapping out the lowercase ‘a’ to the alternate closed ‘a’ with the character or paragraph windows - this is to make sure that I can save the style to apply to other text throughout the document.
   Please note: this option should be available to save as a style in order to use this as a universal paragraph style for any future text. Just swapping out an alternate character with find/replace is not a solution.

   Expected behaviour
   One of the alternate character options or stylist sets should universally change out all lowercase ‘a’ characters to closed ‘a’ character so that the style can be set for the whole document.

   Environment

4. InDesign Tool Flyout Menu on Wrong Monitor

   I am working in InDesign 18.5.0.57 on a 2019 MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.3.1.
   I have three external monitor, two 24-in. DELL monitors, and one 25-in. ASUS monitor, configured as InDesign-Tool-Flyout-01.jpg shows.

   My problem is the InDesign tool flyout menus popup on my laptop screen rather than the center upper monitor as shown in InDesign-Tool-Flyout-02.jpg

   I know that the flyout menu can show up on the center upper monitor because it has in the past. This problem showed up after upgrading to OS 13 and InDesign 18. This has happened to before with InDesign 17, but was solved -- I can only surmise -- when I my OS was upgraded.

   So I'm not sure if this is an Adobe problem or Apple problem, or both, but it appears that one should upgrade the Mac OS before upgrading InDesign?

   It is not threatening my productivity, other than the inconvenience of have to mouse down to the laptop to select the proper tool, but it annoys me.

   I'd rather not bother IT with uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign, since we are a rather large and diverse company, and it would seem insignificant to our powerful IT overlords.

   Any help would be appreciated.

5. find replace story & selection options often not appearing

   find replace story & selection options not appearing anymore. IND 2022

   it will often just show document, documents as options. no rhyme or reason that I can see

   monterey 12.6.7 intel iMac 5k 2020. system recently updated July 2023, could this bug be a resulting conflict?

6. Files on home screen after update to 18.4 have wrong modification date

   I updated InD to 18.4 yesterday and today noticed that all the files on the home screen display the same modification date (on the screenshot there is only one with different but this is because I opened it for test purposes). Some of the files on my home screen has been not opened for a few weeks--I was working only a few files recently. Some files are on the network drive, some are saved locally to Creative Cloud folder--there's not much in common.

7. Creative cloud libraries tool displaying smaller than frame 2023

   The CC libraries tool panel appears at a reduced % of the actual window frame size. Sometimes it's usable (in tiny format) but other times you can't actually click on anything.

   Have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the problem remains.

   Also for what it's worth it only started happening when I installed on my new PC laptop (no issue in same software version but on old laptop)

8. Information panel not usable

   I use Indesign 18.3 on MSI CreatorPro X17 W11 (last version) PC and the Information panel is not usable. The panel is far to big, and not movable !!!!
   The monitor setup is 3840x2160 with zoom factor of 225%.
   It seems the zoom factor is appied to the text but NOT to the Information panel size. The app and other panels are OK.
   I reset completely the caches and personal parameters, nothing helps.

9. Nothing changed, but InDesigns asks for saving changes

   When opening an object, doing nothing (or just print) and closing it, InDesign comes up with a dialog to save changes. That feels very uncomfortable - did I change something by accident?

   PS Pressing cmd-S for save brings up the Save As... dialog.

10. Gradient palette window is cutting off -- Show Options turned on

    Gradient palette not fully expanding after clicking "Show Options". Everything below the Reverse Gradient option is cut off and there's no way to expand the palette window to make edits to gradient bar. See attachment.

    Tried restarting computer and made sure InDesign is up to date (18.2.1)

    I should also note that this is an issue on multiple computers.

11. Window Resizing Bug

    InDesign 18.2.1 on MacOS 12.3.1 (have been having the same issue for the past few ID updates)

    When application frame is turned off so that document windows float, document windows cannot be resized as expected. When dragging one edge, other sides of the window resize themselves – example .mov attached.

12. Pages panel thumbnail resolution

    When InDesign 2022 (17.0) came out, the resolution of the thumbnails in the Pages panel was lowered, even with Display Performance set to High Quality Display. It's not just the greeking of the text. I can see the pixels themselves.

    This forces me to still have to use InDesign 2021 so that I can see the contents of the pages in the thumbnails.

13. Cursor continually freezes, Indesign auto shortens swatches pane

    Glitch happens at random intervals, but so frequently that it's becoming maddening. Right now it's happening every 30 seconds to a minute, seriously F'ng my workflow today.

    M1 MacBook Pro, occurs whether I'm using my Wacom tablet (often I blame this first). It seemed to have happened after the last updated, along with an accompanying issue where I have to continually reset my workspace if I disconnect/connect to an external monitor. If I don't reset my workspace, Indesign refuses to show any tool panels.

14. system prompts glitch out and bug the program

    So, sometimes when I get a prompt, that might be rare I got it once for now but still wanted to share it, so when I get a prompt sometimes, like a system prompt from Indesign like those ones that say some warning and have an ok button(basically a dialog box) so when I get a dialog box it glitches out, disappears but stays active and not clicked and thus you can't do anything in the program because the dialog is in focus so naturally until you click it all the options in the program are greyed out(almost all) including saving the document and the only fix is to restart it and lose my document( or progress) which is not a problem because it only appears when you launch the program so there is no progress to lose but it's still annoying

15. Palette management is a nightmare. What happened?

    M1 Macbook Pro connected to dual displays. Adobe user for 20+ years.

    There seems to be no hope for palettes and window positions on Mac OS. I run multiple resolutions at different times based on the displays that are in use. Adobe apps are simply unable to maintain any palette and window locations. The application window moves to half the screen. The documents become dislodged from overall application frame. Palettes "jump" when I move them.

    As a user I understand that I have a responsibility to manage my settings, but after repeatedly resetting workspaces and trying to re-arrange palettes. I simply don't have time or patience to troubleshoot the logic behind the current window management. The user experience is terrible.

    Please provide a way to maintain window and palette positions across multiple screens and resolution changes.

    Laptop display only (+ variations for previously used resolutions)
    Laptop display with external display (1) (+ variations for previously used resolutions)
    Laptop display with external display (2) (+ variations for previously used resolutions)

17. Won't let me scale gradient panel up/down

    Indesign won't allow me to scale the gradient panel up or down, it is stuck at a constant size which makes it hard/impossible to work with complicated gradients. The issue doesn't appear to be on any other panel that i'm using.

18. different color appearance of different files of same settings and colors when both windows are open and change by mouse over

    Two documents with the same settings. The same graphic in these documents appear differently in each document. But the appearance of the colors change by mouse over to look alike the colors in the other document. Both windows of the documents are opened at the same time. It must be a bug in the software.

    I'm using Indesign 18.0 of the Adobe creative cloud
    On a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020)

19. Layer selection window size in import options

    When importing a .psd or .ai file, the layers selection window is ridiculously small (you can only view 4 layers at a time), making it a real pain to select layers on a big file. Please, at least make it resizeable.
