Indesign Crashes when updating any document which uses SkyFonts fonts.(Provided that SkyFont is exited)
Steps:
SFC Build: 5.9.2.0(Prod build- also from long time before that) 5.9.2.118
Indesign Build: 2017.1 Release (12.1.0.56 x64 Build)Steps:
Launch SkyFonts and Indesign.
Create a new document in indesign and use some trial fonts which are available in skyfonts.
Exit the SkyFont client.
Try to update the document.

We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

InDesign Crash/Loading issues
I've used InDesign for 13 years, and this has to be the worst version! The program will randomly crash. It doesn't load correctly at least 80% of the time. When the program is first launched, it loads the first screen, then it moves to a small box in the top-left corner. I try to maximize the program, and it minimizes to the taskbar. I have to open it again and manually resize it just to open the program. Then, if I don't wait long enough, the cursor gets stuck in the load cycle, and I can't use the program! It…

indesign is not working at all
Honestly mostly is wrong with InDesign at the moment, it won't write text in text boxes, I can delete text but I can't add text, I have an eternal spinning wheel as a cursor but I can still do stuff with the cursor. Pictures keep disappearing from the visual field. Oh, and a weird black box appearing at the bottom screen. Completely useless at the moment, can't believe I locked all my files into this outrageously expensive **** product. Version 21.6 on windows, so it is updated.

Relink All Instances causes freeze
Relink All Instances causes InDesign 21.6 to freeze. I tried relinking pdf and jpg files with the same result. There are only 23 links, and the files are small/not complex. AI image description is turned off. The Relink popup window displays and the application becomes completely unresponsive for 10 minutes. Windows Task Manager shows CPU and memory use. Eventually the files relink, but this is totally unusable in my workflow.

InDesign 21.6 crashes whenever I add a text box or attempt to edit a previous text box
Unable to edit or create new text in my document. Every time I add a text box, the system crashes. It's so very frustrating.

Incopy crashes, when moving a placed image with the arrow keys
When in InCopy, and you want to move a placed image with the arrow keys it immediately crashes.
When the mouse is used, all works perfectly. but as soon you use the arrow keys, it crashes. this also occures when moving the imagebox.
Using Version 21.6 as well as 21.4.

InDesign freezing
My InDesign is constantly freezing and becoming unresponsive, making it impossible to work properly. The application frequently stops responding to commands, and I have to wait for it to recover or force it to close. This issue is happening repeatedly and is significantly affecting my workflow and productivity. I would like Adobe to investigate the cause of these crashes/freezes and provide a solution.

Open file after failed open lock
InDesign 2026 (21.5) freezes or hangs when opening a file in the same session as a previously failed open of the same file.
The file is located on a network share that provides native .indd locking support.
- User A opens the file.
- User B attempt to open the file and received a warning that the file is locked. Success.

Minimised panels not expanding when file opened via Windows Explorer
Using Indesign 21.6 x64, and when InDesign is already running - when double clicking an indd file in Windows Explorer (to open the file in InDesign), the minimized panel icons I have as part of my custom workspace do not open when clicked.
I need to close InDesign and restart, then open the file from within InDesign and then these minimized panels will expand when clicked as expected. InDesign freezes when clicking a menu item before it becomes highlighted
I have encountered a reproducible UI bug in the latest version of Adobe InDesign on macOS Sequoia.
The issue occurs when using the application menus:
- Open a menu (for example Layout).
- Move the mouse to a menu item, but click very quickly, before the item has had time to become highlighted/active.
- If the click lands in the area of the menu item while it is still not highlighted, InDesign may immediately become completely unresponsive.

InDesign 21.5.1 crashes or hangs midway through opening a document on Windows Server 2022
When attempting to open a document in Adobe InDesign, the loading progress bar reaches roughly 50% and then the application either freezes completely or crashes without showing an error message.
System Details:
OS: Windows Server 2022 Standard (Version 21H2 / Build 20348.5499)
InDesign Version: 21.5.1
Troubleshooting Already Attempted:
Manual Cache Deletion: Cleared the cache manually by removing files from the hidden %localappdata%\Adobe\InDesign folder.
Preference Reset Shortcut: Attempted to reset preferences on launch using Shift + Ctrl + Alt, but the confirmation dialog does not prompt at all.

Stops working after 10-15 minutes

When using InDesign after about 10-15 minutes, I can still see my file but I cannot do anything: I can't change anything, can't add anything, it's completely frozen. The pointer still works and can move about the page. I can click on buttons but the drop down menus don't come down, and I cannot close the file even with shortcuts or close down InDesign. InDesign 21.5.1 hangs after adding images
InDesign 21.5.1 hangs sometimes right after adding images to the frame. It doesn't happen every time but maybe with every fifth image. It then gets stuck in 'checking' state where editing text is unresponsive and just waiting doesn't resolve it. Simply restarting the program isn't enough so it requires bringing up task manager, ending the process and restarting computer. This happens to me and my coworker 1-2 times per day.

ID crashes inserting multiple pictures, one by one.
When the crash occurs, I can't do anything—neither save nor go back.

Tables are causing a crash every time I attempt to split or merge a cell in a table.
In Adobe InDesign 2026 (21.5.1) I am unable to work in tables. Any time I attempt to merge two cells or split a cell vertically or horizontally I experience a crash. I had to downgrade to 20.5.5 to get tables to work correctly. MacOS Tahoe Version 26.2.2.

Adobe InDesign Freezes and Does Not Close
Adobe InDesign frequently freezes while I am working. The application becomes completely unresponsive, and the mouse pointer changes to the blue spinning loading cursor. I cannot close the program normally and have to force it to close using Task Manager.
This issue interrupts my work and may cause unsaved changes to be lost. Please investigate the cause and provide a solution.
