Panel flyout menus do not open on external displays/expanded desktops — they open only on primary display
I keep all of my tool palettes on a secondary monitor on Mac OS (now Sonoma) running the latest version of InDesign.
None of the flyout menus will open when the tool palettes are on a secondary display. However, I find if I drag the tool palette over to my Primary display, the flyout menus work again (until I drag them back to the external display).

I think I found the solution. If I select the InDesign application from the submenu from the dock and select options --> assign to --> none. The problem disappears. The idea is not to assign the application to any monitor. Is it OK?

Hello Ravi,
Your collegue Aman, took over my system in early october, as I am having the same issues. Then it was affected with Adobe Photoshop (2024), Adobe Illustrator (2024) and Adobe Indesign (both 2023 and 2024). He did some tests and it seemed to work fine again when creating a new user account. So I did that, and all went pretty OK.
However, now I have updated to Sonoma 14.1, the problem came back. This time it only affects Indesign (2023 and 2024), not Illustrator or Photoshop.
I am not supposed to create a new user account everytime Apple updates Sonoma … right?
It took me 2,5 hours to setup my new user account … i even deleted the previous one.Can you please respond, will this issue be fixed in an Indesign update? Thank!

InDesign 18.5. Mac Studio Apple M2 Max. macOS Sonoma 14.0
I have 3 displays. Everything is fine on the main monitor. However, panel extensions do not work on the left and right monitors. The sliders in the panels work, but the panel submenu cannot be expanded.
