IDML: missing Font Style property in Character Style after export
Version: InDesign CC 2020 15.0.1
How to reproduce the bug:
1. Create a Character Style with "Bold" Font Style and apply it to a word/character range
2. Save in INDD file format
3. Export the IDML
4. Open the IDML and you will notice that the bold property for the Character Style was lost
Expected result: the Character Style should be the same as in the original INDD file
Actual result: the "bold" property was lost during the export process. The INDD file is fine.
I verified that InDesign CC 2019 14.0.3 is not affected by this bug.
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – that is, InDesign 15.0.2.
Please update your InDesign application to get this fix.

I Just update to 16.1 but the problem Still remains. I am using Helvetica Neue System font (that is working inside Photoshop). Helvetica Neue Bold and Bold Italic looks "invisible",

I am having a similar issue but with the paragraph style I've created for bullets, where in my original INDD file, there is 14pt space after the bulleted list, but a space of 0pt between each bullet. When I export the file, the IDML adds a space after each bullet. How might I address this issue? Thanks!

I've also experienced this issue opening IDML files exported from 15.0.1. Never saw this in earlier versions.

I work with ID 14.0.3 x64 on a Windows-10-PC. I have the same problem:
When exporting an idml-file and opening it, some of the character styles applied to a specific kind of Paragraph style are missing (there is also a hyperlink applied to those text lines, but the hyperlink character style was deleted before, because I did not need it).
In fact, I have created a list which has a small square bullet point at the beginning. This list, with changing text content, appears on every page of my 50-page-document. In most of the cases, the character style applied to the bullet point has gone lost after opening the idml. Some text lines are still correct, but most of the lines miss the bullet point character style.
When excanging incorrect idmls with a client, this is very embarassing. I did not find out how to adjust the indd-doc so the mistake would'nt appear in the idml.
