Publish Online feature has issues when viewed in iOS 13
We are using the "Publish Online" feature inside Adobe Indesign to make some of our content available on our website. We've recently received reports from users with Apple iOS 13 mobile devices that the content is not displaying properly on those types of mobile phones. When the content first opens, if you double tap the page zooms in ok and double tapping again zooms out ok. However, if you try to pinch/zoom, the page blows up very large such that you can only see a couple words and you cannot pinch to get back out. Sometimes double-tapping again takes it back to a normal view, but often it zooms back out with part of the page cut off. This content was created using InDesign Creative Cloud 14. I spoke with tech support and she indicated a ticket was filed with the engineering team. Posting here as well for others to be aware and to receive updates!
This issue has been fixed in the latest InDesign version - InDesign 2023.

It is October, and I am having the same issue as the original complaint listed in November of last year. As 45% of all smartphone users in the US use iPhones, it should be a high priority of the InDesign Team to correct this glitch, especially amid the pandemic when many people are utilizing Adobe Publish online for distribution of information. This is a huge letdown, and I am strongly considering using a different distribution medium for my business.

This really is becoming a serious issue, I have all my course notes for a large cohort hosted here and the navigation (pan and zoom) is really glitchy.
Any assistance much appreciated :)
As a follow-up; not remotely a fix but if you pinch and zoom with one finger on the grey background, the other on the document its self, it works..after a fashion.

Please make this fix a priority. Could help our restaurants that are trying to have contact-free menus
during the COVID 19 pandemic.
I have been Creating Menus for Restaurants started using publish online and providing qr code.
Receiving complaints about zoom. Pinch/zoom. Same as the original complaint above. -

We are launching a digital publication and want to use InDesign’s Digital Publishing option, but the klunkiness of zooming in/out on a small screen mobile device makes very hesitant!
If there is some indication/undertaking from Adobe to attend to it and soon, then we may persist...
Otherwise, I’m afraid Adobe is doing itself a terrible disservice by in effect ignoring what amounts to a serious objection to Adobe’s InDesign DP offering! -

This is the reason I subscribed to Adobe Cloud, to be able to create documents our clients could view regardless of the device. I thought it was something I was doing wrong until I searched to see if anyone else had the problem. iOS 13.5.1 - Workarounds???

June 6th 2020 and the problem is still unresolved. Publish online is a brilliant feature but it’s next to useless if users of Apple products cannot view the files properly. Im not anonymous BTW I’m Mike White and I use CC every day all day.

Also having the same problem. I spoke with customer service who offered little help in pushing this issue to a higher priority of the engineering team. Hoping this gets resolved quickly.

I'm having much the same issues. If the user takes advantage of the "Download as a PDF" function, then it works just fine, but the web browser version is a wreck.

Same problem here, but not only with Apple devices. Zooming error also occurs on android phones.

Have the same problem. My iOS is 13.3. Interestingly if you produce a pdf within Swift that uses ink annotations they crash when pinch zooming the pdfView.
It is clear that since ios 13 there have been a series of problems with rendering pdf Views and Apple is aware but I get the feeling that they are peddling as fast as they can and it will take time to get it right. However, the damage to app developers and app users has been severe and unfortunately continues. 12/27/2019. I have no solutions and as usual Adobe will be pointing the finger at Apple and vice versa. I think its Apple's ios13..issues. problem.
