ID 2020 - Indent in combination with wrap text around an image not working
In Indesign 2020, whenever I want to wrap text next to an image, but the text also has an indent the text jumps from the supposed position.
In Indesign 2019 this did not happen. The text was wrapped nicely next to the image, the way you should expect.
My guess what happens here, is that the indent specs are applied not the the edge of the frame, but to the edge of the text. Which corrupts the spacing between the image and the text.
I'm working with the latest 2020 version on iMac with Catalina

This issue is addressed with a new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" in Preferences > Composition dialog. This option is ON for new docs created in ID2023 and needs to be turned ON for docs created in older versions of InDesign when opened in ID2023.

I commented earlier today about this problem in our files. I've done more testing to see how many files the bug will affect. At first I thought it might just be that we were opening an older file (2017). But when I tested it with a brand new document, I had the same results. See the attachments.
Textwrap-2019.jpg: a new file in INDD 14.0.3 with filler text and an object with text wrap. Note that the header text is set to a 2 inch left indent, and the object has a substantial text wrap.
Textwrap-2020.jpg: When I first open the file in INDD 15.0.1, everything looks the same. But as soon as I make any change to the text box, it jumps to look like in the attached image. I tried it a few times and it did the same thing whether I moved the text box up a single space with the arrow button, or if I typed something into the text box.

Same problem in our files. I work for an educational publisher and we do a lot of reprints. Now when we prepare a book for reprinting, we have to reproof every page to make sure this issue hasn't caused bumping and overset text. (Because that's what it did in the first file we opened.)
We're using Indesign 15.0.1 on a PC. -

PLEASE CORRECT THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. I NEED to submit a 600-PAGE BOOK THAT IS currentlyFORMATTED INCORRECTLY BECAUSE OF THIS BUG.

I have the same problem, working on an iMac with latest version of Catalina. As soon as a file opens in IDCC 2020, the formatting changes in the undesirable way described so well above. I have a 600+page book now in which each file as been altered against my wishes. I cannot submit it for publication until this issue is fixed. Please give it your most immediate and successful attention. Thank you.
