unable to change font, size, style in Script UI, alignment problem with Image on button
Unable to perform basic features such as changing of text Font, Styles, Sizes in CC's scriptUI.
Alslo image in button way OFF alignment.
This result in uglier customized UIs than it's older versions.
As the world population is getting older, the ability to have bigger font size and style is really needed.

I am sad to find this still broken, now in 2022. I was excited to implement a basic UI for my script but the generic font is too small to easily read.
I had looked at using CEP but looks like a steeper learning curve and a little heavyweight for my use case. -

You'll see a clear instance of the problem. Part of the problem, anyway: we can no longer set the type size in edittext controls.

We used to be able to set font of staticTexts in InDesign scripts with scriptUI.
