2018 crashes
I am able to get to the point of "do you want to start automatic recovery..i'll hit yes and no...crashes right after that
To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.
If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

HI there, I have had this issue for a few months now. Get the spinning wheel of death with the Automatic recovery password popping up. I keep force quitting and try again until it might work once in 20 goes. I can't get past this. I'm on the latest version on Indesign.

We have started to have this identical issue on TWO of our machines. Both have the current version of InDesign loaded. There is no actual document being recovered...

Myself Sanyam Talwar from InDesign Engineering team, I am currently investigating the current issue.During our analysis of issue mentioned in the thread, we found that you had reported a crash with an older release of InDesign.
We have released InDesign CC2019.0.1 with lot of stability fixes. If you are not on 14.0.1.209 then I would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.

We have provided an update to CC2018 to addressed crashes and bugs.(If the updates are not available select "Check for app updates" option in Creative cloud application.)

• Are you using any external plug-in or extensions? If Yes, Please provide the plug-in(s) or extension(s) -

When i try to just launch the software (no document) it crashes at starting/loading panels in the splash screen
