Distorted Text and Graphics in high sierra
When opening a previously created file, I noticed small visual artifacts in the rendering of vector graphics in the file. As I zoomed in to inspect it, the artifacts began jumping all over the place, and as I zoomed in further, text on the page began presenting the same behavior.
Using InDesign 2017.1, Build 12.1.0.56 on a 2016 Macbook Pro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM), running macOS High Sierra 10.13.
This is a macOS10.13 issue, specific for some Intel GPU cards. Apple has fixed(partially) this issue inside macOS10.13.4 released build.
Following are the workaround for resolving this issue.
1) Update your mac machine to latest macOS10.13.4. Here, Apple has fixed this issue to some extent. You will face very less number of rendering issues.
2) Disable GPU preview and set display performance as typical.
Once you have updated to macOS10.13.4 .You might still face some rendering issues. Since, Apple has not fixed this issue completely.
Please switch off GPU rendering for these cases and report a separate post for tracking.

The exact same thing is happening to me in CC 2018. When I zoom in and out, different elements become skewed. The whole document does not render properly at one time.

Just spent my entire savings on getting a new MacBook Pro so I could streamline my freelance graphic design work with an updated model, and now this "bug" is plaguing my work! Seriously regretting this purchase and giving up the old CS6 on my old Mac.
ADMIN - can you AT LEAST give us an update on how we can temporarily resolve this issue? It's been 2 months since you responded.

High Sierra has absolutely destroyed my iMac & Mac Pro. After exhausting ALL avenues, including command + recovery options, High Sierra re-installation, first-aid (boot drive), rest PRAM, uninstalled apps, cleared cache, on and on and on...
I am now down two machines and losing valuable time & money. I realize the complexity of fixing these latest bugs, but this seems catastrophic. What in the world is going on at Apple? There are still millions of professionals that use Mac for real work not just iPads, and iPhones for social media and surfing the Web. The "it just works" died along with Steven Jobs. *Sigh

Having the same problem with the latest version of Adobe InDesign 2018 and on a MacBook Pro 13" 2016 with Touch Bar. "Fixed" this problem by turning off the GPU.

I have something similar, when using Indesign 13.0.1 on a new 2017 macbook pro13-inch running High Sierra 10.13.2.
When producing a simple magazine, I get these triangles intermittently every few seconds when editing text within a text box. The triangle (sometimes triangles) appear randomly on the page bounded by the text box,. Sometimes they go away after 1 few seconds. Sometimes I have to force a screen refresh.Seriously irritating. Apple claims it's not their fault, and the probelm does not appear with my older Macbook Pro running the same OS and same Adobe version

How long it could take to fix it? This so annoying that I can't handle it.

Same problem here. It is extremely frustrating, plus ID is painfully slow to react. I've been using InDesign since CS2 days, and it is only because there are no good alternatives. I hope this will change soon, and I will happily ditch this software immediately. There have been plenty of bugs and glitches, regardless of the operating system and releases. I am fed up with that! All MacBook Pros have this graphic card, how hard could that be to fix? Adobe does not care about customer satisfaction, and it is only getting worse everyday. They just take our money every month, that's all. Because they know we have nowhere to go. Yet...
