Indesign Version 19 - Still can't reorder parent pages via drag and drop or otherwise
Please fix this bug!! We used to be able to reorder the parent pages and for the last two versions it's impossible to do. This is necessary because parent pages can be used for elements that repeat throughout the document - like Appendixes. It would be nice to have them in order so that other designers will know what they're looking at! Thanks!
FYI - I believe this is only an issue on Mac. A coworker using a PC has no problem.

Page Label Not Inherited from Parent to Document Page
I'm assigning a page label to a parent page using by script like
myParentPage=app.activeDocument.masterSpreads.itemByName("PRD-Products").pages[0];
myParentPage.insertLabel("page", "products");When I insert a new document page based on this parent page, the page label is NOT inherited but just empty.

Indesign file shows as modified upon opening a page with placed PNGs
- InDesign 19.0.1
- Steps to reproduce: open an InDesign file with a placed PNG.
- Expected result: file opens, no asterisk appearing next to file name.
- Actual result: file opens, PNG re-renders in high quality, asterisk suddenly appears next to file name.
As of this morning, every time I open a file that has placed PNGs, InDesign flags the document as modified, with the asterisk and asks me if I want to save the document before closing, even I made zero edits. To give even more credence, it only happens when I navigate to a page that has a linked PNG file…

Page tool will not select a single page on a parent spread when Properties panel is open
Create a Document with Spread and go to parent pages.
Open the Properties Panel, select the Page tool and try to select a single page.
Result: All pages are selected.
Override: Close the Properties panel to be able to select a single page
A similar post was reported in User Voice in 2021 it was not investigated and never got fixed.

Scrolling issues
Scrolling up and down in a document and in the pages widow etc stopped working after v 19.0.1 was installed. Same with alt + scroll to zoom in and out. (PC/Windows).

Adobe must immediately prioritize the RENDER OF FILE THUMBNAIL PREVIEW of .indd file on Mac Desktop/finder
How can a an application of visual asset creation not render a visual preview thumbnail on Mac OS Finder? This is patently absurd and frustrating beyond comprehension! Please prioritize the RENDERING OF A THUMBNAIL PREVIEW for all INDD Files on Mac OS!!

Missing feature: Embed INDDs placed in an INDD
So far, you can embed sort of all linked file types in an INDD, but not other INDDs. This should be possible to save a 100% fixed snapshot of a document.

pages disappear
When scrolling around a document through many pages, they suddenly disappear. I'm left with a grey background.

Links appears OK but doesn't work when exporting in pdf
Using Indesign 2023 18.0 on macOs Ventura 13.6
I have my portfolio file correctly packed and well organized, everytime i open my idml file to make modifications, the link panel appears all OK but i cannot export because of this same links.
I found a solution is to re-import every files one by one, but i cannot do this anymore, it's too long and this need to be fixed.

Indesign 18.5 on MAC 13.5.2_conflicting fonts
Why am I getting different results than the clients pdf?
Using same fonts as client. The word IMPACT REPORT is different when I export it.
The clients font is Gotham Bold but when I open the Indesign, the font shows up as Gotham Distress even though I don't have that font in my Document font folder.

Negative values needed size and position options in Object Style
Currently, you cannot set negative values for the Size and Position Options inside of Object Styles.
This is an obvious error because sometimes, you need a class of objects to bleed. For example, I would like a ImageFullpage style that I could use to set images that bleed on all four sides.
This requires that they be positioned at -0.125 x and 0.125 y.
Also, an ImageCaption style that sets a caption on top of an image should allow me to use -y: .125. When combined with the bottom reference point and the from: "group" option (another request), it would…

window gets stuck at the bottom
I'm on the latest version of Dreamweaver v.18 on Mac Ventura 13.4.1
Everytime I zoom in the window gets stuck at the bottom and stops scrolling. I can scroll left and right but not up.. I have attached a screenrecording .. Please help1 vote -
When deleting or adding one single page in the middle of a facing page document, the images in the pages that follow will shift of misalign

Hi developers, this is a long-lasting problem n it really affects work flow.In a multiple facing page document, if you delete or add one single left or right hand page (in my example it's p.36), all the images in the pages that follow will shift in their positions. And if you add one page, then delete that page, the images will not go back to their original position. Allow document or spread to shuffle is checked. This is a MAJOR issue when you are working on document over 100 pages.

Duplicated page removes some character styles
Duplicating a page removed some character styles in my document. Only on half the page though.
Super weird bug, tbh.

Descendant Report
descendent over run the original person at more generations. This does not happen all the time, but occasionally. I uploaded first page and last page to illustrate. Didn't mean to load them multiple times I didn't realize I was doing it at first then I couldn't erase them. Hope this is not a dumb question sometimes I have a hard time explaining myself.

Wörterbuch InDesign Deutsch -2006 neue Rechtschreibung 18.2.1. x64
Wenn ich die Neue Deutsche Rechtschreibung ab 2006 für meine Dokumente einstelle, springt die Einstellung beim Wort selbst (rechte Maustaste) jedes mal zurück auf die alte Rechtschreibung. Egal was ich versuche - diese Einstellung wird nicht im Dokument abgespeichert.
Ist das ein Bug?

Opening documents as tabs cannot be deactivated
Always open documents as tabs even if you have not selected this in the settings under User interface -> Open documents as tabs. I need different window sizes and find tabs impractical.
