stroke size not matching
In the new InDesign (16.0) stroke sizes don't always match. I can put a 3-point stroke on two different objects and one looks as expected and the other is extremely thin.

Arrows not working in Effects Dialog Box / Drop Shadow section
In InDesign 16.0.1 x64 in the Drop Shadow section of the Effects Dialog Box, there are some values where the arrows are not working. They are 1) Distance, 2) X Offset, 3) Y Offset and 4) Size (marked on the attached file).
These values should change(increase/decrease) either by pressing the arrows on the keyboard or the little arrows to the left of the value. This isn't happening in the latest version of InDesign. I looked at other effects sectios and the arrows seem to work everywhere else.1 vote -
Rotate effects same direction with page rotation
When you need to rotate a page (180º) effects applied to a text frame aren't keeping the same viewable as it was originally set.
i.e: If you have a text with a Drop shadow applied with an angle of 135º if you rotate the page 180º the effect applied is upside-down, not following the original X and Y position, it should be -45º to keep consistency, please see attached jpg
Make sense?

Share for Review (15.1, ie. June 2020) color shift due to corrupt blend mode overlays
I feel like we've seen these kinds of issues before. But I noticed in the new "Share for Review" (InDesign 15.1) colors in a test document are shifting. A quick comparison shows that blend modes aren't been exported properly when sending a document up for "Share for Review."
In the screen shot, you can see what I mean: Top is the Review version as viewed in browser, bottom is the correct version as seen in InDesign. Some of the modes seem ok (Multiply, Normal opacity adjustments). But most blending modes aren’t rendering correctly (Hard and Soft Light look identical; Difference…

When importing PSD with SPOT color channel, I get the warning: "The spot ink "Pantone 326" cannot be represented correctly within InDesign."

Disable object stroke effects is not working
I'm trying to disable strokes inner and outerglows in a specific object style using the code:
var doc = app.activeDocument;
var myObject = doc.objectStyles.item("box");
myObject.strokeEffectsEnablingSettings.enableInnerGlow = false;
myObject.strokeEffectsEnablingSettings.enableOuterGlow = false;But all I got is the behavior in the attached image. Is not really disabling and the effects is still active in the object.
Posted the issue in a forum and we all realize that's a bug.

"Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text
Description: "Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text
Version: InDesign 2020 (15.0.2. x64)
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.18363 Build 18363)Reproduction:
1. Create a text frame and fill it with any text
2. Create a rectangle on the same page and go to Window -> Effects, and set the rectangle's effect to "Hue"
3. Text on that same page no longer appears anti-aliasedFigured this out while trying to find out why all the text looked so bad. Ended up copying things to a new document (where text wasn't jagged) one by one, and eventually narrowed it down to the…

Transparency on top of Pantone spot colors does not export correctly
When I export a design that has an element with transparency on top of a Pantone solid, the element with transparency disappears in the output PDF.
I tried different PDF settings but all have the same result. Changing the filetype of the element with transparency (PSD, PNG, PDF, …) does not change the result.
I found that, when converting the Pantone solid to Lab or CMYK, the element with transparency appears again. But this workaround also means that I cannot use the Pantone library.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?2 votes -
If there is white text on a colored background InDesign thinks there's nothing at all
If there's only white text on a page but this text has a colored "paragraph shading" ("Absatzschattierung" in German), InDesign does not recognize this color and thinks the page is still empty.
I reported this in the old "wish form" about four years ago: https://rainerklute.de/bug-report/
The dialogue shows a way to solve this but why is it not implemented?

Box Overlay Not 100% Transparent When Printed (solved)
Finding that grouping items and then applying an effect (like outerglow) to the group causes transparency issues when printed. I have a graphic created with multiple paths, grouped it, applied outer glow, and now when printing, the overlay "box" of the grouped item interacts incorrectly with the layers below it when printed.
In the attached image:
1. Design without grouped elements - the white burst in the background looks fine
2. Design with the grouped elements with effect applied, notice how the "box" around the mask is sort of visible? Like there is an effect on the box causing it…1 vote -

Ai Transparency blends, placed into ID, exported to png w anti-alias on -> color mismatch
Ai 2019 files, when opacity is set on parent group item and child items, and laid over a white background -- when placed into ID 2019 and exported to png w anti-alia on, there is a significant color mismatch. Strangely, when exported to png w anti-alias turned off, the correct color results. The ID export to png anti-alias code must have a bug in it. The same for jpg export. PDF export is fine.
