character style list flashes but won't open
Sometimes, ID gets into a state where the Character Style drop-down list will not drop down. I can click either the list item itself or the little [v] button to its right, nothing happens. If I click it again, the screen will just flash open the list for just an instant, but it will not drop down the list and let me select from it. The only workaround is to use View › Character Styles, which slows me down quite a bit, because I usually leave the View › Paragraph Styles window open.

can't disable home screen
I'm unable to disable the home screen. Option is grayed out. I have a paid subscription.

InDesign does not remember window size and position
When opening a document, InDesign should remember the window size and position when it was closed. Illustrator does this, Photoshop does, this BUT NOT INDESIGN!! Why? Please fix it.

Create new folder / Open containing folder BUG

control palette disappears
When the system comes out of screen saver or sleep mode, the Control palette has disappeared. The only way to make it visible again is to quit and restart the program. InDesign Version 16.1, macOS 10.14.6 Mojave, 2013 MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013). Two monitors: built-in retina display 15.4-inch (2880 x 1800) with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB graphics and 19.5-inch (1920 x 1080) DELL D2015H Display also using NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB graphics. Problem seems to be related to the use of two monitors.

Incorrect Keyboard-Shortcut for "New Document"

Open InDesign. Type on keyboard: command N
Should create and open a new empty document
Nothing happens
At the same time:
2. Open InDesign. Type on keyboard: option command N
3. Nothing whould happen

UI gets blurry if my 1440p monitor is the secondary screen.

What if I could double click the application title bar to minimize a window into the dock?
Dear Adobe,
Double-clicking a title bar to minimize a window is Mac behavior that goes back to the first release of OS10 in 2001. It is based on an even older behavior from OS9 where double clicking a title bar would "windowshade" the window like a roller blind rolling up into itself.Apple and Adobe train us all the time to adapt to new technologies and interfaces. UI does not scale - hard to use with people who have differing vision abilities

Find/Change Text dialog does not show all Search options.
after making a selection, the Find/Change text dialog sometimes does not offer Selection in the Search dropdown. It will be present under GREP and Object, but not Text and Glyph. Closing/reopening Find/Change does not fix it. Restarting InDesign usually fixes it...until it goes missing again.

Popup menus appearing off screen, and move shortcut not working to move them back to where they are accessible.
make popup menus either appear on one of my 3 screens, preferably the screen that indesign program is open on. And if that is too hard, let the alt-space-m shortcut to move menus work. One at the moment is the find replace fonts. it's off screen and no way to bring it back that i can find.

Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts
On a Mac [10.14.6] I set the F8 key to bring up the Paragraph Style Option box [image attached]. With the most recent update the F8 key does not work unless I have the Paragraph Style Panel open [image attached]. This is an obscure bug but it just means I need one more panel open to access the F8 shortcut. This short cut has worked for a zillion years until now. I hope this is of assistance. Thanks.

Emailing a document video won't go away
Opening a saved document and a 'helpful tip' video clip about emailing a document is stuck in the middle of the screen and won't close or go away, can't click on it and nothing works to get rid of it.

type tool behaves as selection tool
Hello guys, I'm experimenting this issue in which the Type tool is behaving as the selection tool.
Instead of selecting text, by double-clicking or click and drag, it just moves the text frame around. Double click is not highlighting the text either.
I'm running Indesign 16.1.0.20 on Big Sur 11.2.1

The UI is not scaling correctly on Windows 4k screens - UI too small
Hi, I am having problems with the UI Scaling on InDesign on my 4k laptop. I am using the recommended system scaling of 250% which works well with other apps except for Adobe, most noticeably InDesign. I pay a premium price for Adobe CC which should be reflected in their products. The UI is way too small on InDesign compared to Illustrator and Photoshop.
I also have problems in all adobe apps when using an external monitor to expand my screen size. Dragging the apps from one monitor to the other does all sorts of weird things.
