Map Process Colors to Spot in Ink Manager
Allow mapping/alias of process colors CMYK to Spot in Ink Manager. This can be done downstream during the output process, but I would like the ability to preview the change to verify what I will get. Thanks!

Properties panel: make “Apply to Text” the default for text frames
When I select a text frame, I find that most of the time I want to change the colour of the text, not the frame. But InDesign defaults to “Apply to Frame“ every single time, which is particularly cumbersome in the properties panel, where the option is now a menu.
I believe it would be much more useful to have the default either be "Apply to Text“ whenever you choose a text frame or at least remember your preference.
(I am aware that you can double click to select the text, then select all, then the properties panel applies the…

Opening items such as swatches in the columns when hovering the mouse over them
Currently I do not know of a way to enable it so that anything you hover the mouse over automatically opens without you having to click on it, i.e the swatches/ colour tabs when in a column. Please let me know if there is otherwise this would be a nice feature.

type colour fill under Properties > Appearances
Hi, I love the feature under Properties, that I can work on the colours, the shapes, etc in one window. However, I notice that text colour fill is missing. Can I request to have that added in there too?

Libraries - I should be able to rearrange swatches
I just got off a long chat with support only to learn that there is no way to rearrange the swatches in my library. The tech support professional told me I can use/select the colors in my document then rearrange them in the swatches panel. This is worthless. I have a long document with about 50 colors which are arbitrarily arranged in the library panel. If I cannot quickly access them alphabetically, then I am wasting a lot of time. PLEASE make it possible to arrange them in the library.

Spot color overprint per default
It would be great to have a way to generally overprint a spot color in the whole Indesign document.

Color/swatches Library
In PS and AI, there're a lot of built-in color/gradient libraries, and when you want to select a color, you ca just append them or open a color library, but in indesign, there're no ways you can do so, a lot of the color selecting work is done by guessing unless you know which color you want to choose
I hope there will be a built-in color library (if the interactive buttons can have a built-in library and why don't we add a sample color library?
I know the "Official" way to do this is using Adove Color Theme Panel,…

Color Swatches Menu too small and not resizable
In InDesign CC 2019 the Color Swatches Menu is too small and not resizable, like in CS6. It was very useful to resize the menu so not to have to scroll in a small window through the many colors of some projects.

Go to Source of Color
I would like to go to objects linked to a particular swatch; similar to how you list objects in the Links panel and go to them with the GoTo icon at the bottom. Might be too lengthy to list connected type, but would come in handy for vector objects.

Update changes in CC Library Color Swatches in objects using theses colors
At the moment I have to change every single objekt wich uses the changed color manually. There should be a Library-Function to do this automatically.
That would be REALLY helpful.

Swatch Grouping
The Color Group function is really useful, but it only works in the creation phase if you select multiple colours. There's no obvious way to add a colour to a group after it's been created - there's no contextual menu option, there's no palette menu option, and seemingly, you can't drag and drop it into the folder, which is counterintuitive as this is something users do all the time with Layers. Similarly, color groups should function the same way inside the CC Libraries palette. There should be a shortcut to add any selected Swatch or Color Group to the current…

Reopen color theme floating palettes
I have a workbook/training document that has sections, and each section uses a different color scheme. I used the Color Theme tool to create the different color themes for the various sections. But with each new theme, I lost the preceding floating palette. It would be so helpful to be able to reopen a color theme floating palette that is based on a theme you saved in the Swatches panel. It would be more convenient to drag the floating palette around the screen (near to the objects where you want to apply fill or stroke) than to have to undock,…

Hex colors please!
Really would like to be able to use HEX numbers for colors. I know InDesign is primarily for print, but some of us want to move our digital teams completely over to CC, and being able to use InDesign for digital work would be great...

Replace white background color with transparency
Quark X Press is able to replace the white background color of a placed TIFF image with transparency - this is the only feature I miss in InDesign.

Allow users to move the colours and colour groups up and down the list under the drop-down menu at the top of the page
Hi there,
Please could anyone tell me if there is a way to (or why we cannot) reorder the colours in the drop-down colour palette…?
I have created several colour groups and swatches (lower down the list than shown in the image below), but there doesn’t seem any easy way to simply reorder it so the colours and groups I use most are on the top… It would be so much easier if I could just move my favourite / regular colours by clicking on the line and moving it up or down the list. This would seem an easy…

Make Swatch Groups moveable in the swatches panel
Swatch groups are currently always at the bottom of the swatches panel and can't be moved around. Loose, single swatches are sometimes less important than the ones in groups. So being able to have a group at the top of the panel would be beneficial in situations where the swatches panel is small.

The change of swatch colour used for the QR code is ignored
When a QR code is created using a swatch colour, the colour does not update when the swatch colour is modified.
Step by step:
1) Make QR code using default magenta
2) Change magenta to any custom color
3) The QR code stays in magenta1 vote -
Allow importing/copying gradients between InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
It should be possible to import gradients swatches from Photoshop and Illustrator into InDesign, and vice versa. Whether by finally being able to have a gradient saved in CC Libraries or being able to copy+paste an object with the gradient applied between programs.
I can't tell you how many times I've finally gotten a perfect gradient in Photoshop, only to then realize I need it in InDesign and my only options are to 1) painstakingly make it again in InDesign, 2) design InDesign things in Photoshop with the existing gradient, or 3) Export a gradient from Photoshop as a jpeg…
