Could we have a 'go to colour' link within Indesign like you do for image links please
It would be really helpful when editing colours within an document to be able to see where a colour has been used before deleting it. I know you can always replace it then convert back but it would be helpful to see where it was being used beforehand.

Pantone colors (Uncoated Solid) are unavailable in March 15 2018 updated CCInDesignuploaded colors which don't show up.
Many Pantone colors not compatible or accessible InDesign CC March 15 2018 upgrade. Specifically 2012 U Solid
PMS are REQUIRED FOR SPOT PRINT JOBS!!!!!
When is this essential requirement going to be addressed???????
This is not something to "consider" as a feature request. It is an essential aspect of PRINT design and technology and needs to be accessible in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.4 votes -

Merge variables for color that can be used in styles and as swatches
Merge doc variables for colour.
An option on the colour swatch to add a reference to link to a merged variable from a csv for a hex, rgb or cmyk colour. This would allow specific swatches to update styles in a document for text color, lines, background colors etc if a document defined style uses that particular swatch.

Warning for Registration usage
WAY too many designers use Registration as a color in their jobs. This is a MAJOR mistake for print design. Indesign desperately needs a warning that can not be disabled every time Registration is attempted to be used, warning designers that it is NOT the same as Black, nor is it a "rich" black, and it WILL cause problems in printing.

Share Illustrator Gradients with Indesign via CC Libraries
According to many sources online, in the old days, you were able to copy and paste gradients from Illustrator to InDesign. Now, when I copy an simple object with a complex gradient, it comes into InDesign split into many tiny objects, each with its own swatch. Totally unworkable.
Really, I should be able to save a gradient swatch to CC Library so that I can access it across Creative Cloud. Because that's what Library is for, right?
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature that should be there.
3 votesYou can add the object having the gradient swatch to the CC Libraries as a ‘Graphic’ in Illustrator. Then you can choose Place Linked/Place Copy in CC Libraries to use that object in InDesign. At this time, it is yet not possible to add Gradient/Pattern swatches to CC Libraries in Illustrator, so you have to add the object to the CCLib and then place that object in other apps like InDesign.

All those missing Pantone Colours
Has anyone else out there found themselves wondering why Adobe products don't have the very latest Pantone swatches installed as standard? I have a situation today where a customer has found a specific Pantone colour they want to use in a project - but it's a Pantone Plus colour, PMS 2374. If you try to add this swatch in InDesign it won't be there.
It seems that the only way I can use this PMS colour is to buy a bit of software from Pantone called 'Pantone Color Manager' that costs £90.
I just find myself thinking that I already…

Delete swatch / replace swatch
Please display the swatch that will be deleted on the 'Delete Swatch' dialog box to prevent replacing or deleting the wrong swatch (which is too easily done at the moment).
Thanks

Paste Text Only from Other InDesign Documents
We regularly copy and paste from other InDesign documents. It is really frustrating that every time we do this the incoming swatches and styles are also pasted into the document, resulting in extensive lists of swatches and styles with similar names. Much like the "Preferences - Clipboard Handling - When Pasting Text and Tables from Other Applications - Text Only" option, it would be incredibly useful to offer this feature for "Other InDesign Documents" as well.

Option to merge swatches when importing from another document
When Importing Swatches from another document produce a dialog similar to when importing Text Styles. I should be able to choose which ones i want to import and be able to decide what to do if there are swatches of the same name. In some cases i would like it to overwrite the swatch on the active document with the swatch that exists on the imported documents swatches.

A button to convert or set swatches from Coated or Uncoated PMS to the opposite in a instant. Like a master switch.
In Prepress there are 2 sets of PMS swatches, and clients do not know when to use either correctly or use both on the same layout.
We need a master switch to use either/or, and be able to switch between them with a click of a button. I would think this would be a page setting or something.
I have attached a zip containing 2 indesign files, 1 of which has been provided by our client and the other has the UNCOATED swatches converted to COATED for press print.

Non-transparant inks
We, a printshop using offset and digital (HP-Indigo) presses, are using non-transpartant spot-colors like White or Foil. Indesign handles spot-colors as transparant. For normal inks, this is OK, but not for those mentioned, since these are opaque. I know the overprint-attribute does something almost similar, but it's not exactly the same.
So i need an option to define a spotcolor as 'Non-Transparent'.
It seems to me that for screen-printing this would also be a valuable option.

Add Preview in New Colour/Gradient Swatch Window
It's strange that one can preview in the Swatch Options window, but not when creating a new colour or gradient swatch.
I'm using 15.1.3 תומך עברית edition.

Adjust colours directly in the gradient panel
In InDesign, I'd like the option to edit colours from directly in the gradient panel, as in Illustrator (double click to access colour slider)
Having this feature added would greatly improve workflow - at the moment, I have to add colours to a swatch panel then drag them onto my gradient slider which becomes a very tedious process when making micro-adjustments.

Enable color palette folders to move from the bottom of the swatches list
I want to be able to move the palette folder I'm working from to the top of the swatches list. If I have a document that has several colors, I have to scroll to the bottom to find the folder with my template colors.
