Find/Replace Font Capitalize Menu Listing
I think that the word Replace in Find/Replace Font in the Type menu should be capitalized!

Measure Space Between Objects & Margins With a Toggle Key
I'd love to see some of the same measurement tools that have made their way into Adobe XD and Photoshop work in InDesign.
Being able to quickly see the space between objects and margins is great in these tools and I think it would be helpful in InDesign as well.
I know the gap tool has some of this functionality, but I'm specifically looking to recreate the toggle function like holding alt/opt in Adobe XD. Perhaps the gap tool could be modified to have a toggle function to display the measurements in a similar way.

Fixing what was not broken?
Swatches Window:
There is space at the bottom of the swatches menu to have buttons for the swatch types rather than grouping them into drop down menu. It takes more clicks and mousing around than it did in CS versions...Same goes for Rotating spreads. I need to do this often - It used to be in the root of the pages menu, now it's nested under page attributes. Less efficient...
A drop menu at the bottom of the pages window might make sense for this feature?New CC Libraries menu... it looks nicer I guess but now I have…

Add Pasteboard Options to Document Setup
It would be handy if Pasteboard Options could be set in the New Document/Document Setup window - OR - Pasteboard default size options could be set as a percentage of document size (so it will scale relative to doc size).
My default paste board size is fine for most jobs I do (which are generally brochures / flyers etc); but it is too small for working on large banners etc. I find I am changing the preferences all the time.

Toggle to turn off cursor frames and highlighted text when testing colors/fonts/strokes
Note: I'm still on Indesign 2019, so I don't know if this feature has already been added. If not, then:
Whenever I want to test different stroke colors on a picture with a border, I have to select it, which shows as cursor frame on top of the stroke (even in preview mode). Problem with this is that if the stroke is 1 or 2 points, it's hard to see the colors you're choosing because the cursor covers the stroke. So I would have to select the frame, change the color, de-select the frame to see how the stroke looks,…

Enable easy switching between Roman, right to left & Japense feature sets
InDesign can be set to either Roman, right to left & Japense feature sets at time of installation.
Multilingual designers often have to work across multiple languages that range across reature sets.
I suggested to include an option in the settings that easily switches between these feature sets. This information is stored in the Windows Registry and in the applicationpreference.plist file on macOS so hopefully would be relatively easy to implement.

Zero Point manipulation like illustrator
I would like the ability move the 0,0 point crosshairs to an arbitrary place, copy an object, move to a different page or spread, move the zero point arbitrarily, and then paste the object into the exact same place relative to the 0,0 point, as in illustrator.

Please provide interface scaling as in Illustrator and Photoshop.
Please provide interface scaling as in Illustrator and Photoshop. On a Mac / Retina display the panels and type is too small to read. Will not work to set the whole system to scaled as I go back and forth from Illustrator and PSD to Indesign, making it even more difficult to use. Thank you.

Use Opt-click for "update all cross references"
In the links panel, opt-click on the update button updates all changed links. It also has a tool tip for doing so. I have been told opt-click is a 'standard' in many Adobe apps. But "update all cross references" is not so easily found. It requires to make sure no cross reference is selected and then click the update button. This is not intuitive and hard to find. Change to opt-click (with tooltip). Check for any other place that an update button exist and unify the UI in the same manner.

CMD/SHIFT scroll speed and direction shortcuts are now broken
It used to be that holding SHIFT and using the mouse wheel increased the scroll speed, and holding CMD changed scroll direction.
Now, holding SHIFT increases scroll speed direction AND changes scroll direction, while CMD still changes the scroll speed.
This means that, previous to the update, if you were scrolling veritcally down your document, you'd scroll normally, and could then hold shift to increase the speed. Whereas now, if you want to increase the scroll speed without changing direction you have to hold CMD as well.
IE - Previously used to work like this:
Scroll Wheel = Vertical Scroll…

Place the close button at the top of all pop up menus (rather than the bottom)
When I open pop up menus in InDesign they are often larger than my screen (see attached pic), and as the close button is at the bottom of all menus, I am unable to click on the close button. I'm forced to change the resolution setting of my desktop in order to be able to view and access the close button, which is very annoying. A quick and easy fix would be to have the close button at the top of each menu instead.

More space for document name when saving
When saving a file, the "save" or "save as" space for giving a name to a document is often too small, as it only fits about 32 characters. 64 characters would be a nice number, so every name would fit without having to scroll.
In our production flow, we have to name our documents with the client number, the project name, the type of visual, the size, the language and, when it's ready to print, the number of copies. Our documents are often between 30 and 50 character long.

Display document size
Similar to photoshop, It would be very useful if you could see your document size on the bottom of InDesign next to the Horizontal Scrollbar.
No need to waste your time going to File>Document Setup

Single page view
A simple request, single page view without other pages on the screen.
Trying to focus on the layout on one page when I can see the others drives me crazy.

New Menu-> Window->Workspace "Center All" to Place Entire Document and Windows Centered Between Resolutions from Laptop to Large Monitor
I am currently stuck, I can't see my document because I took my laptop from my monitor to my bed. This happens in many Adobe products. I need to either relaunch and hope or maybe go back to monitor to hopefully find the edges and rearrange it. You should place a dropdown menu from Window->Workspace->Center All as a new command that lays everything out from top left to right and then has the outer frame fit the bottom right of your new resolution. None of current options allows for this and I can't find my documents

Add option to ignore images or fills when drag-selecting using Direct Selection tool.
Often dragging a select box over frame corners will pick up interior fills or images and move them when all I want is to move the frame corners or vertices.

Can we have a UI that makes it clear when InDesign is the active window?
The current crop of CC app interfaces give no visual indication that an application frame is active if it doesn't actually overlap another one on the screen. Unless the ruler is active, there is NO visual cue to tell the user that InDesign has focus, for example, and even the ruler change is non-obvious.
The problem is with the nonsensical suite-wide UI change that eliminated even the Windows title bar, which gives a very clear indication whether a window has focus. I assume some exec who flunked UX 101 has the idea that designers only work with one window at…
