Restore the old position of "Save", "cancel" & "don't save" buttons
Restore the old position of "Save", "cancel" & "don't save" buttons when closing a file or keep the same position of the buttons in all apps

This absolutely needs to happen. I have just encountered an issue where I was opening an older file to retrieve some templated assets and I had to move links in the original document around a little to get to the assets I needed. On closing the file I accidentally clicked ‘Save’ instead of ‘Don’t Save’ because the buttons are now next to each other instead of separated by the ‘Cancel’ button.
Despite the claim this new layout is now ‘industry standard’, surely it makes more common sense to restore the old position of the buttons as it would avoid all likelihood of this type of human error occurring? At least, if you accidentally click the ‘Cancel’ button, it doesn’t do anything that involves further undo’s, redo’s or reworking to get the file back to its original layout.
To me, this seems like a really important failsafe, especially as legacy files are converted and don’t retain the old software properties.

Don't get your hopes up! This mind-boggling decision (mistake?) has been officially Under Review by the Senior Lead Software Engineer, Adobe InDesign since November 2024! Bizarre!
