PDF Comments in InDesign (Make Icons Smaller or Transparent)
We love the new feature for importing pdf comments into InDesign! The only problem is that the comment icons are so large that I can't see the type underneath to make the edit. I have to delete the comment and then try to remember the edit and figure out exactly where it goes. Could you make the icons smaller or transparent (or perhaps allow us to make these adjustments with "PDF Comments Options")? Thanks!

The fact that the zoom level is constantly changing is so frustrating, I can't even use this feature. It infuriates me and is more work than just clicking between InDesign and Acrobat.

InDesign! Get it together! It's been almost two years now and it's still not fixed? Is it really this hard?!

Agreed. it's a great feature, but because I cannot see the text I am supposed to edit, I have to resolve the comment and try to remember the fix.

PDF comments in InDesign could be such a great workflow improvement, but it remains a tedious, frustrating experience caused by such a blunt detail. Could this quirk please be updated soon? It has been over a year.

Agreed. I'm correcting a couple hundred pages of PDF comments right now, and it is a GREAT new feature, just needs a couple usability adjustments.
* Make Icons Smaller (they don't need to cover so much of the page). Perhaps make them a fixed size relative to zoom level instead of a fixed size relative to page? When zoomed in to edit text the (very pixellated) icons are enormous.
* Make Icons semi-transparent (as an option perhaps?)
* Make it NOT change zoom level when single-clicking a comment. It's fine that it jumps to it, but me having to correct the zoom level every single time I click a comment to copy some text is infuriating. -

Also, please don't change my zoom level when I doubleclick a comment — keep me at the same zoom level and take me right to the sticky note/balloon. I'm zoomed in because I need to be to see where I'm making the text edits! So every change I'm making is me doubleclicking the comment, rezooming, toggling to Preview, selecting *just* the text I want to copy (even if that's the whole comment) so it won't copy and paste the date/commenter's initials, and then move on to the next edit. Of the several hundred I have right now. Love the idea of importing comments but not sure I'm saving any time on the ones that the client did as sticky notes instead of delete/insert tool.

Same problem. I "fix" the issue by toggling between Normal and Preview mode, but it's really slowing me down. Would like to have them default to transparent (possibly be able to flip to opaque in Preferences if anyone likes it that way), maybe be able to set the color in Preferences as well.
Need to be able to select text right behind them, so *DON'T* want to have clicking in that area select the note, at least without a modifier key.

Seriously. There is so much wasted space! It seems to me like Adobe tried to match the comment UI of Acrobat DC. Which is horrible. This panel should be made to match the rest of InDesign.
