Option to split table rows across pages
Lord please, if you're up there, answer our INDD prayers and make this a feature. A LOT of tables have rows with more content than can be held in a single page or bottom of a page. It's impossible to layout a continuous book or brochure if I can't get the table text to split - it doesn't have to be the default, but give me the option - please, please. WORD does this, be better than Word!!

Lord I'm waiting for this 🙏🏻 I use tables in InDesign all the time, built from tables that my client creates in Word and it is very upsetting to have to explain that it's not easy to split cells when flowing large amounts of text into a document. My client is like "but it's simple in Word" 😭

The content is of utmost interest! I have completely enjoyed reading your points and have come to the conclusion that you are right about many of them. You are great https://couponsva.com/store/kay-jewelers

I was ASTONISHED that this thread even exists. Seriously, Adobe? Any other editor has this extremely basic feature. I seriously have to manually cut and paste the table text to fit the page breaks? This takes me back to the 1990s...

I came to this thread thinking surely there will be a comment that explains how to do such a simple task. I'm so disappointed in Adobe. Sort it out. It's 2021!

Really needing this feature right about now. Working on a book by an author with specific formatting requests and struggling to format it in a way that won't totally ***** with the eBook or make everything a jumbled mess if further corrections are required. Adobe pls help

Before now, I had no idea table rows could not be split across columns. The requirements are so basic. It might not be that often that I need it, but Adobe, this can't be that difficult Much needed idea! I am going to share it with my peers at https://bestexamshelp.com/

I’ve been manually splitting rows now for decades. Why can’t a computer do this work? Of course, I can’t even get the 2021 InDesign to stabilize, so this is really pie-in-the-sky territory with this request.

Are you crazy? you don't have an option for this? This feature had been available on word for literal years, for an app meant for the creative industry why haven't you figured this out yet?
More over, Id's UI is horrible. Start using InDesign is like experiencing productivity apps back in the early 2000s, obscure, clunky, and counterintuitive. Literally an afterbirth of all adobe apps
