MathML Support
We need to have InDesign to support MathML, this is much awaited feature, but not supporting in InDesign yet.
Currently we're using 3rd party plugins such as MathType, MathTools, PowerMath, etc. but not meeting our expectation, also high license cost than InDesign.
@ALL: Please support to include this feature in InDesign in the very near release.
MathML support was added to InDesign 2025 version.
Work on adding more options in future releases of InDesign has started.

MATH Feature ASAP!

This is an essential feature. Please add it asap, it has been too long since people have started asking for this.

Even Google Doc offers this and it's free. I pay for an Adobe license so it´s infuriating that y'all don't offer this.

This is absolutely needed, and ridiculous that it is not already a feature considering very basic applications like TextEdit can handle using math symbols, and this is supposed to be a professional layout application.

It is imperative to do something about.

And please work with Adobe's PDF team and accessibility engineers (L. Rosenthal, etc.) so that the MathML transfers into a PDF correctly and fully accessible.

This is the reason why I keep using Word instead of Indesign, no equation support.

We receive equations in manuscripts (.doc and .docx). I don't want to re-key them, it needs to support import too!

I used to use Adobe FrameMaker for such editions, but then I started using LuaLaTEX.
It turns out a pretty good layout, but first you need to get some professional skills. And the process itself is very slow

That is really a big deficiency for Indesing and Adobe. Is it that hard programming such an add-on or plugin? We are buying your products but it doenst meet our needs so we are also buying extra add-on.

Yes, please! I have hundreds of equations to place in a tech manual. Seriously, this is not adequate!

It would be good that IDML has MathML support and Math equations and Scientific notations could be authored and embedded seamlessly in InDesign documents. The InDesign Math Editor could import and export in MathML format.

This is basic functionality nowdays. Every text editor can do it.
