  2. Review pins hard to spot

I struggle finding the pins associated to the comments in my designs.

When working with huge very colorfull and image rich brochures the marked pin is very difficult to see a lot of times. Its really frutrating.

I have two suggestions that would fix this problem.

    1. Don't zoom out the view by default when you click on a comment. This would solve my problem, as I would zoom in close on my page and then click the comment. But now it zooms out the view when I click on a comment.

    2. A quick animated arrow that points to the relevant…

  3. Share for Review: Tracking Resolved Comments

While the Share for Review option is so handy for clients to make edits, it is a nightmare to track what has been implemented because as soon as the edit is resolved it becomes unmapped.

It is very hard to keep track of revisions so I would love a feature to glance back on previous versions (either by highlighting, creating a pdf including comments, or a window that you can click a page to see before and after results) to see where the markups where made. Clicking back to unresolved doesn't work because once a change is made the text…

  4. Keep Comments on the Spread When Resolved

My reviewers love being able to see the conversation and comments all the other reviewers are making, saving them time by not making the same comment over and over. My proposal team thinks the interaction between InDesign and SFR is wonderful!! In our large documents, we have found as we start to make the edits, the comments disappear making it challenging for the document editor to find where they were. The comment totally disappears or it throws them to the end of the list in a pile of "unmapped comments." BUT it then totally moves the comment off the spread.…

  5. InDesign real-time collaboration with Adobe Cloud Create

To have the possibility of (at least two users) working at the same time on the same project, like google doc but with a synch option.

  6. Tagging/Notifications for Guests

I use the Share for Review feature mostly with users who do not have or need Adobe licenses - and for security all documents have to be password protected. Therefore, most of my reviewers are 'guests' and only receive notifications if I reply to something they said. If I add a new comment on my own, or revise text or try to direct their attention to a new Pin, they do not receive any kind of notification. It would be useful if I could tag guest users via their email address and they could get an email. If this is…

  7. Share for Review feature notifications settings should be accessible in InDesign, not only Adobe Cloud

The share review feature could use a lot of work. First off, the notification settings should be in InDesign, not Adobe cloud. People don't know to go to Adobe Cloud to adjust notifications, nor did you tell anyone. Also, review comments in InDesign are still a bit glitchy, sometimes the pin or highlighted content does not appear within the editor when viewing review comments. Thanks you!

  8. Add comments from InDesign to reviewer using Share for Review

It seems like owners of documents can only reply to existing comments made in the Share for Review document but can't create comments in InDesign that appear in the Share for Review document. Often, we have a question about text or images that the reviewer needs to answer, but we have to first Share for Review and then create the comment there. It would be great if we could convert InDesign Notes to comments for the reviewer that they can see in the Share for Review side panel.

  9. Enable the user to select specific pages, spreads or page ranges to share for review

I would like to be able to create a link (to share for review) for specific pages or page ranges, so I can send a stakeholder the work applicable to them and not sharing my whole document with them.

  11. Enable importing of comments from PDF Review in Document Cloud

Importing of comments from a review being shared via Document Cloud makes perfect sense, this would make a seamless process. The new share for review feature looks great but is too buggy to use at the moment with clients (I have tried)

  12. Share for Review Markup Link- Automatic Refresh

When a Share For Review Link is updated, it should automatically trigger a fresh, or introduce a dialogue box to notify the viewer that there is a new version!

  13. Automatic version control for Share for Review

Would it be possible for InDesign to apply version control (like GitHub) to Share for Review? What if, for example, designers could choose a versioning standard in the preferences panel (e.g. 1.0.1 vs 2020.v1.1) which is then activated when you Share for Review and updated every time the link is updated?

  14. Allowing the Review Function to have live text editable/collaborative

The company I work for focuses more on publishing where we are working between an art and development team and an editorial team.

Currently, we use InCopy to allow our editors to be more hands on with their major changes they need to text. But it creates a long wait time, packaging and uploading large files to our current servers, and room for error for the designer or editor to not be working from the most updated file. The problem we are having with InCopy not only is the human error of the risk of outdated files, but uploading large…

  16. Link comments to text as well as to physical location in graphics frame

This could be viewed as a bug report, from the user's perspective. And I am a user and not a coder or designer for ID (though I am a UX dweeb.) However, from a coder/designer standpoint, this is a feature request, thus posting here rather than as a bug.

The feature is to link comments not to an x,y location on a spread, but to (1) an x,y location within a graphics frame, or (2) for a text frame, to specific text in that frame. Linking to text can be by highlighting the text and then attaching a comment to…

  17. A folder system in Publish Online

Increasingly online publishing needs a home. Adobe offers this, although I came to this quite late. It is a mess when you have dozens of docs.

  18. Would like to be able to share a pdf (for proofing/approval) straight out of InDesign. Exceeding valuable as it skips steps.

In the busy print workflow environment it would be nice to skip steps when providing clients with proofs for review/approval. Creating and sending a pdf proof to clients straight out of InDesign would be just the thing. Currently, as you know, you export the InDesign document as a pdf, open it up in Acrobat and share the file for review. While the Acrobat function is fine (although we've noticed lag time in clients receiving the proof) in the face-pace environment of a printshop, where many of these proofs are processed, it would be a time saver.

  19. Share for review - zoom in on document with multiple page sizes

I have a document with pages of different sizes, ranging from 4"x3" to 90"x90". When I share it to review and view it in the browser, I can't zoom in on the smaller pages. It's like the maximum zoom value is set by the width of the largest page in the document.

Please let us zoom in/out freely on the documents.

Indesign for IPad Pro M1. I’m from the first generation of Quark Express to now Indesign always working on a Desktop.
Having to move countries, I have embraced the mobile world and invested in an Ipad and the ‘Cloud’ ! It’s been amazing so far especially with the creative cloud but….no Indesign!!! What do I do? All my projects are built on it and now I can’t even open them ! What is the solution?
