Linked text frames inside text threads keep links
When a linked text frame is placed on the page, it updates its contents when the parent linked text frame changes. But if one copies that text frame and pastes it inside a text thread, it appears to have a link icon, but the link is actually broken and will not update with the parent text any more.

Option to disable the drop shadow in artboard on screen mode "Normal" of the "View" menu
Please, enable an option to disable the drop shadow on the artboard in 'Normal' screen mode in the 'View' menu (on the right side and in the footer of the artboard/sheet). The shadow makes it very difficult to achieve accurate positioning and alignment of objects. I found several people on Google complaining about the same thing, and there is no solution! The "Preview", "Bleed" and "Spacer" options do not have the shadow, but they also do not display what is on the workspace outside of the artboard/sheet. Please enable pinch zoom in and zoom out using a touchpad on Window 10 in Adobe InDesign 2024
My Surface laptop does not enable me to pinch zoom in and zoom out using a touchpad on Window 10 in Adobe InDesign. I was previously using a mac with a magic trackpad and had no issues zooming in and out in Adobe programs. I realize I can use work-arounds like CTRL + / -, but this takes more time and I have less control.

Indesign 2024 not working with window-snapping apps
I recently upgraded to InDesign 2024. I use BetterSnapTool to arrange my app-windows in order to have a efficient and practical workflow. But InDesign 2024 does not work with BetterSnapTool (BST) or any other window-snapping apps due to this reason I received from the BST support:
"Unfortunately all window manager apps on macOS are affected by this, Adobe has broken their window resizing behavior in their recent updates. Indesign should be fully compatible with Powerpoint
Clients are demanding more and more presentations made on Powerpoint than reports made in Indesign. Sometimes, even reports made in Powerpoint. Designers like me are spending much more time nowadays on Powerpoint than Indesign.
Adobe will lose those designers.

Enable the deletion of button rollover state once it's been created
Once you've created a button AND applied a rollover state, you can't currently delete it. I know you can "hide" it, and I know you can convert the button back to an object, but I want the ability to delete the rollover state once it's been created. Similar to a multi-state object, it would be great if we can delete the rollover state (like you can do with individual states in an MSO).

Show Preflight error if there are objects on pasteboard
It would be really helpful to have a feature in Preflight profile settings to alert you if there are any items left on the pasteboard.
I often have to supply files for translation and any items left on the pasteboard may either incur extra translation charges or cause unnecessary confusion at back end. I want to be able to make a google-search from within an indesign-article/-text, by marking a word/phrase, right click and end up in the web browser with a search result based on my marking in Indesign. That couldn’t be to difficult to script, but a huge help.
