We've just released InDesign 17.2.1 version which fixes this issue.
Please update to this latest version using CCD.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI used to be able to select a frame and use the place function (cmd+P) to add an image to that frame. Now when placing images, it automatically creates a new frame.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI have the same issue. When I open a document, it says an installed system font is missing. If I restart InDesign and open the same file, the font issue resolves. I noticed that it happens less if I don't use a custom workspace.
