An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedChiming in, November 2019. This would be very helpful and convenient. It does not seem like there would be much development needed on Adobe's part.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYES! This would be such a great timesaver. And in Edit/Undo Typing, it would be great to see a few characters of what was typed, especially for those times when you accidentally hit "w" or a random a backslash instead of return and then can't find the cursor.

I am having the same issue with spell-check in InDesign 15.0.2 using English USA. I tried deleting InDesign's preferences. "Check Spelling" and "Dynamic Spelling" are both broken at the moment.
