An error occurred while saving the comment Dax Castro commentedAssigning scope and identifying Row and Column headings could very easily be accomplished through style properties. Allow us to create a table row or column style where we can set the scope or identify TH cells.

An error occurred while saving the comment Dax Castro commentedIt reads black square because that is the proper unicode name for that bullet. It is encoded into the font. You can look at the Character Map to see what different symbols will be voiced as. Your solution is in the Adobe Acrobat Preflight Fixups that allow you to "Set labels in unordered lists to generic bullet character." This will add actual text to the bullet character document-wide to voice "bullet."

An error occurred while saving the comment Dax Castro commentedWhy is this so hard? It is a hard task because it is technically not the correct place for that content to appear. Properly encoded files ensure the most compatibility with current and future user agents in accordance with WCAG's robust criteria Guideline 4.1: Maximize compatibility with current and future user agents, including assistive technologies.

According to the ISO-32000, the Hyperlinks are NOT supposed to be populated into the Alt-Text field. They should be entered into the Contents Key (see attachment) instead.
InDesign currently does place them in the correct place [see screenshot attached].
While someone using Acrobat can also add them to the Alt-text field, this is technically less correct than entering into the Contents key but either will pass an Accessibility checker.InDesign implemented this correctly based on the above information (provided by Accessibility experts, like Dax Castro, thanks Dax).

An error occurred while saving the comment Dax Castro commentedPlease do NOT add this feature. This creates an Accessibility NIGHTMARE! Accessible documents should NEVER allow rows to split across pages. This is a layout no-no. If you care about accessibility, do not do this. Tables are for data. Learn how to use the program properly to get the same results you need without using tables. This will create the ability for violations of PDF/UA and WCAG 2.0/2.1 - IF you do implement this, please include a pop up window that says "Splitting rows across pages can create problems for people who need to comply with accessibility standards or for those using screen readers."

Actually, I created one for InDesign for this very reason. Was so frustrated between going back and forth. Reach out to me on LinkedIn and I will give you the URL Not sure I am allowed to post it here. Here is a video of it in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj2-rlpJ3mE
