   It would also be fine if the grid could be restricted to only show on the pages themselves, not outside.

   I agree, the opacity of the grid should be adjustable. And the setting of the grid should be somewhere in the Document, not in the preferences.
   Also it would be helpful to be able to use different grids in different master pages of the same document. And to be able to disiable the grid in the margins/column spacing, so that it is only visible in Areas with text.

   And it would be helpful if setting the doc grid would be more comfortable. For example if I could say "my document is subdivided into 7 basic lines and these contain 15 dividing sublines. Not that i have to calculate every setting - ("how much is 20 cm divided into 7 base Grid lines?") that is annoying!
   Also a preview while adjusting the setting would be helpful.

    Very interesting work-around to guarantee that the next person working on a job knows the Joboption! But let me suggest that it would as or more helpful to be able to safe the PDF-routine within the indesign-document.
