Futura Std fonts
When I use Futura Std in InDesign, some letters [‘a’ & ‘o’ in attached screen shot shift to a tiny, superscripted letter. Other fonts look normal in this same text, and Futura Std does not do this in any other application. Even in InDesign, the problem occurs in some situations but not others.

Workspace
Initially after using the newest InDesign update for 2020, I tried using my old workspaces. But I found I could have only one document open and working at a time. I would have to open one document, work on it, save, and quit. Then I could open another and do the same thing. Obviously this is not productive, especially when you might need to copy something from one document to another. So, I have been using new and different of the stock workspaces to get me through in the hopes this will be fixed. Thanks.

cc2017/18 cannot install on macOS Catalina
Please enable a version of InDesign CC2017 that can be installed on macOS Catalina. It causes problems for large book files when they have to be converted to newer versions of InDesign. It often takes a long time from start to finish for a book project. When a file is created in one version of InDesign, it should be kept in that same version until it is completed, to avoid unintended errors and discrepancies creeping in. I have many files that originated in CC2017, which I now cannot open on a new machine operating with macOS Catalina.

InDesign 14.0.3 document Missing/Invisible text and photos
I am using Indesign v. 14.0.3 on a mac with High Sierra 10.13.6.
I save my projects regularly the whole time I'm working, so it's not a saving issue. Everything was there when I saved and closed the project before this.
I've been working on a project layout for over two weeks now. Last night I was putting the final version together when it started slowing down, taking a long time to move an item, etc. I saved my project and closed Indesign. I reopened after a while hoping the glitch had time to resolve itself.
When I open the…

When they open up InDesign documents there is a major issue and it is consistent. When the first user opens a document from the server - they can work on the document edit make changes and save it back to the server no issues When another user open the same document next they also can work on the document edit make changes and save it back to the server no issues When the 3rd user opens the document it opens

Can not start InDesign 2020
InDesign CC2020 15.0.1 is not running on iMac 27-inch, 2017, MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.3
When I try to start InDesign, nothing happens.
In the "Activity Display" of Mac OS, InDesign appears marked in red and cannot be restarted or stopped there, I have to force to quit and to wait some time until InDesign is finished.Maybe it has a connection to the following: Photoshop works, but it needs to be terminated with force to quit via the "Activity Display" of Mac OS.

Incopy 2020. Please fix glitch. You have to use scroll bar to click "up" through queue lists - no longer able to click list.
Incopy 2020. Please sort unclickable queue list on northward direction. Now you have to use scroll bar to access queues "higher" up. Revert to system as in previous version? Use of scroll bar is waste of energy. Thanks

Palettes disappear after shutting and opening new documents
Version of InDesign 2020
Mac, OS Catalina 10.15.2Palettes disappear after shutting and opening new documents
Every time I open or shut a document, my palettes disappear. Then i have to open and reposition them over and over. This is maddening! I used to work in Adobe CS5 for the longest time and that never gave me an issue. Now that I've updated everything, InDesign is sooo slow, and shuts down all my palettes. I hate this.
Would like to see an Indesign update that fixes the palette issue and the slowness of InDesign. Also I would like to see…1 vote -
Footnotes disappear
v. 15.0.1 x64, Windows
I am working on a multichapter magazine.
Every chapter starts with a title and the author’s name. After the name comes a footnote call.
If I make changes that add or remove a page in a chapter, all the footnotes on the following chapters disappear. They can be recover by removing the asterisk and inserting it again.
1 voteHi,
Part of this issue was fixed with the latest release of InDesign 15.0.1For all new files created with ID 15.0.1 the issue will not come. For older files opened in ID 15.0.1, you will have to resize, move or do some text editing operation to make the footnote appear
In case you are still facing the issue in new files created post ID 15.0.0 , please share a sample file
Thanks

In a pixel-dimensioned InDesign document the pixels are always magnetic. There is no option like in Illustrator to deselect 'magnetic pixels
In all version of InDesign, as far as I can remember, pixel dimensioned documents have magnetic pixels. In Illustrator there is an option to deselect magnetic pixels. In InDesign it fails. At least, I think. And the technical assistant from Adobe thinks so.
For instance: if you try to draw a rectangle 3.4 x 4.2 pixels, you can not.1 vote -

when I save my ID file to a removable drive, I get a pop up window saying I am saving to a removable drive. There is a Check Box to "Don't Show Again" and it happens everytime.

translate
Very often I need to translate booklets that were designed in InDesign. Some booklets can be huge containing many text fields. Many translators request to send them the text in a MS Word file. Therefore, i have to copy-paste all the text text-box by text-box. And then repeat the same process to transfer the translation back to InDesign from MS Word.
It would have been nice if InDesign could automatically export ONLY the text from text boxes into MS Word using HTML tags. Like:<textbox_00001> text text text</textbox_00001>
<textbox_00002> abc</textbox_00002>
<textbox_00003> text 2</textbox_00003>And then be able to import this…
