1. Share For Review, only getting shape tool and pin tool.

   In share for review, I only see the pin tool and the shape tool. All of the other reviewing tools that I should be seeing are missing. They appear briefly and then disappear.

   If the Share for Review was created using the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), then only 2 Tools are visible in the browser – Pin and Draw.

   The new Text Tools in Share for Review – Highlight, Strikethrough, and Replace are available ONLY if :
   1) Share for Review is initiated from InDesign 2021.
   2) Opening a document that was created in an earlier version and initiating Share for Review from InDesign 2021.
   3) For Share for Review created from InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), you click on the Update Link button in the Share for Review panel in InDesign 2021. (You may have to hit the Refresh button in the browser if the Review was already open there).

2. Last updated stays on 'this week'.

   My version is 15.1.2

   It seemed to work before, but the 'timestamp' when I click on Update Link remains 'this week'. I remember before it said something like 'X minutes ago'.

3. There was an error updating the artifact

   Adobe Indesign 2026 V21.1

   i was trying to update a filed shared for review but it keep saying "There was an error updating the artifact" i've tried to update the indesign but as same.

4. Highlighting or Changing Text

   I’m experiencing an issue when highlighting text to delete it, changing the case, or switching fonts. The entire text, including the text above (on the same page), disappears. If I scroll up and then back down, I can make it reappear.

5. PDF Kommentare und Share for Review angleichen

   Ansich ist das ja eine gute Sache, aber warum unterscheiden sich die Kommentarfunktionen zu denen im Adobe Acrobat.
   wenn ich PDF Kommentare aus einen PDF importiere, kann ich die per Mausklick übernehmen. Bei der überprüfen Funktion geht das nicht.
   Bitte die Kommentarfunktionen aus Acrobat genau so auch im Share for Review übernehmen.

6. Review Links Deleted

   I was having issues yesterday EOD publishing a review link. I wound up leaving for the day as it wasn't working. When I got back in this morning, I went to my review link files on adobe.com and noticed a grayed-out placeholder link that was seemingly corrupt that I couldn't open.

   I deleted the file. When I did so, ALL of my review links disappeared, and none of them are working anymore.

   I can't seem find any way to get them back. Furthermore, I can't seem to create new ones.

   What can I do?

7. Share for review suddenly aligned left

   Since a few weeks ago (maybe longer) I've noticed that when viewing documents in Share for Review (I think this happens in Illustrator as well as InDesign) everything is aligned to the left of the screen. I'm pretty sure it used to be centered. I don't think this is a browser-specific issue - I first noticed it in Microsoft Edge but saw the same thing when I opened in Firefox.

8. Horizontal scrollbar in Adobe Preview is hard to find.

   My clients are complaining that when they enlarge the page view in Adobe Preview, they can't see half the page and don't see a way to scroll to it. The problem is the slider at the bottom of the browser window doesn't appear until you hover over it with the cursor - and once you do, it is very shallow and hard to click on, especially for older clients with less than perfect vision.
   Could this not be made visible once the view is enlarged, and make it a bit thicker so less nimble hands can click on it?

9. Where is the link to online Files in Creative Cloud Desktop?

   Up until recently, when I shared InDesign files, I was able to open the CC Desktop app, go to Files > Files, and there would be a direct link to my online files. That very convenient feature has disappeared completely. My workaround has been to add an internet shortcut to my Windows Explorer files.

   I have been told that it was removed because of problems on the backend with InDesign, but if that were the case, then I would have also been able to access that direct link in CC Desktop for files shared from Photoshop or Illustrator. It's bad enough that the Acrobat files are in a completely different area, but I've gotten used to that.

   Am I the only one that finds myself needing to view the online version of a review file instead of just relying on the comments I can see in InDesign?

10. Add pins from Indesign to be shared for review

    While editing a file in InDesign, I have many ideas or questions to submit to the reviewers audience.
    However, I need to wait for all my edition work to be completed and shared for review online before being able to add pins and other comments. This is cognitively quite expensive, and it's not efficient overall.
    I wish I could add pins and comments right from InDesign (= new items in the Verify panel), to be published with the next "Share for Review" push.
    That way, I would comment at the exact time a question pops up in my mind, without risking forgetting the context or even the whole question.

11. Share for Review: Invitation links are no longer file name

    Updated to InDesign V 20.2

    Share for Review invitation emails used to include the file name, but now show in the subject and body text as a string of characters. I have multiple files being shared to review daily, and its become difficult and time consuming to find previously shared projects since my email inbox is no longer displaying the names of the files being shared.

13. Share for Review, Review links in

    The Review feature is incredibly buggy. When I open up my .indd to edit from the clients edits, I have the REVIEW window open on the right as I edit on the left. 1. the minute I delete within the highlighted area, the comment/edit immediately zooms away. This is so frustrating. Spelling errors cannot be corrected if the yellow highlight is on...you have to choose a letter replacement from a dropdown. So bizarre. And this is the MOST irritating...Why can't I just see a list of Unresolved comments with NOTHING ELSE? The screen is constantly over-populated with vintage comments that were resolved days ago. Filters do not work. If I click filter by RESOLVED for a moment just the un-resolved ones will float to the top. But it doesn't stick. I have to scroll around to figure out where I was on the list of edits and there' no reason to it. The workflow is incredibly frustrating.

    Last summer we encountered an issue working with the [Share InDesign documents for review] feature. After transferring Indesign documents between colleagues for holidays, it turned out that this function does not work when InDesign documents are processed on other devices. Not even within our license.

    Indesign claims (attachment transcribed from Dutch):
    No access for review. You cannot create or update a review share since you a not the owner of the review. Please save this as a new document to create your own review.

    Easy to write, but we do not want to bother our customers (stakeholders) by sending them new URLs for all their review links. In addition, duplications of InDesign documents can cause production problems if wrong versions are processed.

    I consulted https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/share-for-review.html about this matter, but didn't find the clarification either.

    Is there a way to hand over the review ownership, so we can stay with the original documents and its review urls?

15. Adobe Review: automatic adoption of text suggestions and incorrect filter behavior

    When I receive comments on replacing text or deleting text sections via Adobe Review and these are displayed in Adobe InDesign 20.0, the display switches to comments with the status clarified. After each correction, which cannot be accepted with approval but must be made manually, I have to set the filter in the control panel back to unresolved comments to work on.
    It would be desirable for a filter to only be set in the control panel when I activate it. I would also like options for inserting, replacing or deleting text to be applied with a click and not have to be done manually.

17. Comments in a review are stripped after I upgraded to the latest version of InDesign

    Today I updated InDesign to the latest version (20.0, Windows). A client had left some comments in an online review initiated through the previous version, and now those comments are all stripped from the document when I open it in v20.0.

    When sharing a review: On the review web page, there is no longer a possibility to search for text. This makes reviewing long documents with many pages nearly impossible. Reviewers have to manually go through all the pages to find the content that's relevant.

    Until around mid-2024, it was possible to use the browser's search function (CTRL+F). This has been disabled. Even if enforced (entering search through the browser's menu), it does not work.

    To me, having no possibility to search for text in a document that should be reviewed, sounds like a severe, obvious oversight and should be addressed immediately. I only waited a few weeks before posting this here because I thought this had to be a bug that would be fixed anyway.

19. Share for Review strikethrough & replace text from online edits aren't visible in InDesign or online viewer

    Strikethrough & replace text from online comments aren't visible in InDesign or online. the comments are visible although the visual mark up on the page is missing. Ive tested mutliple browsers and all the same.

    Highlighting and draw tool are working correctly.

    Indesign version 19.5. Chrome and Edge browsers.

    This was working as of a couple weeks ago, now is not.

20. Share for review is not working properly

    I've seen other people comment on this, and have had this crash several times in several different docs, but the Share for Review tool in InDesign is basically broken on a regular basis. Update content constantly just gives me a spinning wheel. The image quality is extremely lo res when reviewing (which was "resolved" by an Adobe team member saying "it would slow down load speed" which in this day in age is frankly absurd. Fix your "Share for Review" feature, I've almost lost two clients to it who thought we sent them garbage and who also needed something delivered on time, but I spent a day figuring out how to get the blue spinning update to go away.
