1. Preview 'glitching' when changing fonts in text blocks

   Had this problem in 17.2 but still occurring even now I've upgraded to 17.3.
   Working on a Mac Mini macOS Monterey 12.5.1

   If I make any changes within a text block (weight, style or actual font) the selected text will 'glitch' and does not refresh properly when I'm choosing a font or different weight of the same font, causing issues with visibility and layout. It only corrects itself when I click off the text block, either onto the dashboard or another section of the design. This isn't ideal when I'm making design decisions as it impairs layout and aesthetics.

   This did not occur when I was working in 2021. Only since using 2022.

   Below screengrabs show:
   1. Text block with placeholder text (normal)
   2. A font change (text selection glitching when font has been changed).
   3. A font weight change (text selection glitching when font weight has been selected)

2. footnote

   body text is overlapping with my footnote. I have to readjust the text box very slightly to reset or something to make sure it doesnt overlap and go to the next page. I am dealing with hundreds of foots and having to check each pages for this issue is taking considerable amount of my time. Kindly fix thank you.

3. If a list has a span, footnotes will appear before the list, not at the bottom of the page.

   I have many list paragraph styles, some of them formatted as spans. When I hit a footnote, it appears above the span, and can only be sent to the bottom of the page when the span is removed. This happened before and after the latest upgrade.

4. Round corner appearance from InDesign 2018 file is changing, when open it on InDesign 2020 version

   We are moving from InDesign 2018 to InDesign 2020 version.
   Expecting that all previous files created in InDesign 2018 version should open correctly in later version without any design or font changes.
   We found an issue on Corner radius for Rectangular box. Changing the corner radius appearance when file opened in InDesign 2020, though showing same Corner radius settings both InDesign versions (see screenshots).
   Need a fix to open the files correctly in InDesign 2020 version also, without manual changing, as hundreds of files created previously with different corner radius.

5. Random lines CC ID 2021

   Random Lines keep appearing. will go if layout is resized - SO ANNOYING. Tried unistall keeping prefs / unistall delete prefs - resave as different name

9. I work with book interiors. Have been reading about the nightmares designers have had adjusting the margins of text boxes

   I am not a cool millennial but I work with book interiors. Have been reading about the nightmares designers have had adjusting the margins of text boxes once there are several hundred pages and changing the master pages doesn't alter the actual position of the text boxes. Can I agree with the comments attached below -- to you Adobe company people -- don't **** off loyal users who were using Adobe before the millenials were born -- PLEASE STOP taking away features!!!!! I have recently updated to ID2021. Am I still going to have this bug -- as I now need to adjust the margins a tad away from the spine having just received the hard proof of a 500 page paperback. Thanks :-)

   Again Adobe, the upset stems from your same and recurrent problem (across your product "upgrades"), you don't get it: stop "taking away" features (especially default ones, like you changing the psd default "constraint proportion"... so bad).
   Add new options to old features if you think it improves, we'll click it ON if/when it's suits our type of work (or way of working), but don't (why???) take away what's there, works and have been working for ever.

   It's amazing the lack of knowledge (or depth of knowledge) you too often demonstrate about how your software are (day in-day out) being used/by whom/and for what kind of projects. Try test driving with people who have been working with them for more than 5 minutes, they might not be cool millennials, but they sure understand Indesign (and PSD, and AI...), and are not confused about "which software" to used for doing "what" well.

   For myself, it's sadly the number one complaint I have with Adobe. I use your software every day and find them truly amazing and I think Indesign is the top in it's field.

10. text wrap

    InDesign 16.1v64
    Text Wrap controls behave different with transformed objects.
    At first I was going to report this as a bug and saw one other post where they were having the same issue but then I realized what is really going on so I'm making a suggestion.
    Look at the Text Wrap for an Image object with the controls unlinked.
    I was seeing the bottom control affecting the right side. And the Right side control affecting another side.
    After some research I realized this was only happening on the images I'd imported and rotated 90 degrees.
    Say there are two images sitting on the page and one was rotated but the other not.
    And we want to adjust the text flow around them by playing with the text wrap controls. The controls work as expected with one but not the other. On that one they reflect the rotated state of the image. If you did not know the image is rotated, or forgot, you tear your hair out trying to figure out what is going on.
    The controls should reflect the orientation on the screen. Up is always Up, Right is Right, Left is Left, Down is Down. No abstracting to rotated states required.
    Please consider making this a Fix.

11. Layout adjust badly deforms vector graphics

    Vector images pasted from Illustrator (without any raster effect added) become badly deformed when using Layout Adjust. Parts of the image may become bloated, extended, compressed, text is deformed, rectangles become squares; circles, ovals, parts shift, etc. In short, a total mess

12. bug: empty textbox

    InDesign 16.1 x64, Windows 10

    InDesign wraps text incorrectly when layout adjustments are made. Empty text frames occur. Only when the size of the text frames is changed, they are filled with text again.

13. Organize styles per book, not per file.

    Having to synch the styles manually instead of just having the styles available throughout the book is a pain. Also I cannot synch single styles. There is an object style I use for chapter headings, the objects get displaced everytime I synch.

14. Shift and Alt keys not working.

    This seems to happen randomly, but while working on an InDesign doc these keys will stop working and the only fix is to restart my entire laptop. This doesn't really fix anything though because the issue can happen again within minutes of starting back up.

    I use shift and alt a lot to align assets on my pages as well as duplicate certain assets. Among a bunch of other things.

    This happens across all version I use (2019, 2020 and 2021)

15. Resizing object with 'Auto-Fit' enabled now broken in 15.1

    In version 15.0.3 and earlier, if you enabled the 'Auto-Fit' option and then resized an object by entering values in the Width or Height fields the content would resize along with the frame (as expected).

    With 15.1 this no longer works. The frame resizes but the content doesn't. Only way for 'Auto-Fit' to behave as expected is to drag the frame handles.

16. Numpad bug with paragraph styles

    Loading an old Indesign file (version 2016 or older) in the new Version Indesign CC2020 causes a new bug.
    1.) I use Indesign CC 15.0.1 (2020)
    2) Open an old file of Indesign with many defined paragraph styles (from 2016 or older) --> try to edit some texts use text cursor klick in a textbox and type a 1, a 3 or a 4 on the numpad.
    3) I expect that the numbers 1, 3 or 4 to be typed.
    4) The paragraph style changes to another style without any shortcut set in the file or the paragraph style.
    5) File type .indd and .zip are not allowed, so please load the file via this link: https://filehorst.de/d/dbfJbHwy

17. [ Versions 14 and 15 ] Adjust Layout | Liquid Page Rule "Scale" is affecting the result

    Hi together,
    as it seems feature Adjust Layout is actually affected by Liquid Page Rule.

    Two identical pages will scale type differently if Liquid Page Rule is set to "Based on Master" on one page and "Scale" on the other page.

    This seems to be a bug. Liquid Page Rule should not affect the result of Adjust Layout. Applied my test documents from my German InDesign 2020 15.0.2.310 on Windows 10:

    NOTE: I renamed the zip file to .zip.txt because this site will NOT allow to attach zip files.

    ( InDesign 2020 version 15.0.0.155 on Windows 10 ).

    The custom baseline grid is not working at all if a table's text frame is rotated.

    It is working with text outside a table if the frame is rotated.
