The number on the Image Place Thumbnail is not correct
It should reflect the number of images 'in' the cursor. But its 1 too high.
When 2 images are loaded, it shows 3.

Indesign/LTS version (15.1.3) don't update font menu accordingly system registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Fonts)

My enviroment: InDesign LTS version 15.1.3 (mandatory) - InCopy LTS version 15.1.3 (mandatory) - Extensis UTC 7.0.10 (mandatory) - clients OS Windows 10/MacOS Mojave- Font family OTF/TTF.Fonts get activated, then again so that theindesign/incopy document refreshes and detects the fonts but unfortunately this could result in significantly longer loading times for large files and other unexpected performance issues.
The fonts are active for the whole system (reg query "hklm\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\fonts)
and app., Bloc Notes for example.I have opened tickets with Extensis. Here is the answer after testing in their environment

Indesign freezes and/or crashes when opening hyperlinks panel
Indesign freezes and/or crashes when opening hyperlinks panel. It does usually eventually unfreeze but this can take up to 20+ minutes. I'm running Indesign 2021 Creative Cloud on a Mac, release 16.1.
- Open a document with existing links
- Click on the hyperlinks panel
- Freezes
- Either I force quit or it unfreezes, depending on how long it's been frozen.

Place dialog slow to refresh file list
If you save an image or two from Photoshop, then go back to InDesign and choose Place... the file list in the Place dialog box takes a few seconds to update before you can see them. This is despite the fact that those image files are fully saved and showing in the Finder.

Find/Change
Sometimes it seems that the FIND-dialog box is not opening. I had to restart my Mac mini m1. Then the function came back. Just restarting inDesign did not help.

Text Wrap controls behave different with transformed objects.
At first I was going to report this as a bug and saw one other post where they were having the same issue but then I realized what is really going on so I'm making a suggestion.
Look at the Text Wrap for an Image object with the controls unlinked.
I was seeing the bottom control affecting the right side. And the Right side control affecting another side.
After some research I realized this was only happening on the images I'd imported and rotated 90 degrees.

copy
Holding down "option" on the keyboard and then dragging a graphic or text box to copy and paste where you'd like it to go no longer works. The cursor changes as if it's going to copy/paste, however, it will just drag the original graphic/text box without copying it. I have to physically hit cmd + c and cmd + v and then it will paste wherever it wants to go in the document to get something to copy and paste. This is really frustrating when trying to design documents with a lot of the same elements in different formats. This…

Hairlines/artifacts randomly appearing on screen
1) InDesign 16.1 (and othre versions)
2) Place an image or object. Apply a drop shadow. Pan/scroll, zoom, enable or dissable output preview
3) Consistent rendering.
4) Glitches of bands of light or dark pixels may appear over images, in transparencies and effects. These may come and go depending on resolution preview mode, zoom and/or if overprint preview is rendered. (The lines are similar to tiling lines in PDFx1a in that they are rendering glitches presumably caused by floating point calculations)

InDesign v 16.1, Mac OS 11.2.3 on M1 laptop. Adobe Typekit does not consistently load fonts into InDesign.
Please check the Typekit usage and activation in InDesign. This is a huge problem that is slowing me down. I am trying to load Freight Neo Pro and it is missing intermittently from my files. Other fonts from Typekit have also done the same thing. I also use Suitcase Fusion to manage my own installed Fonts.

Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS emulation disabled
Every time I open InDesign this function is disabled. Enable it again. But when switching to Photoshop or Illustrator it is disabled, disrupting the workflow.

Balance Columns leads to severe performance issues
Whenever I have longer text documents with multiple columns I want to use "Balance Columns" to make it, well, better.
However, whenever I start using Balance Columns in my documents I always run into severe performance issues.
Example: Right now I have a document of ~100 pages (one text flow). I have not enabled "Balance Columns" on all pages due to performance (and the fact that another bug prevents you from doing this from the master page), so I have manually enabled it on a page-by-page basis for pages I feel need it (I'd much rather just turn it on…

library panels display
the background color of the library panels in Indesign and Illustrator take on the same color of the interface (as from the latest version of indesign CC 16.1) As I have the dark interface selected, the icons and other assets are almost invisible. There is no way to change it, switching to the light interface is the only thing that helps.

Overprint Preview switches off when viewing Story Editor
I view the InDesign file in Overprint Preview.
I then need to check some text that isn't quite visible on the page.
Select the text frame and view it in Story Editor so I can ensure it matches what was supplied.

inDesign - Banner warning first time using and preferences may have changed
WHEN NEW VERSION IS OPENED FIRST TIME
Can you put up a banner the first time that tells me all my preferences may have blown out because this is a new version to remind me to check?
Would not help me with this blowing out all the time...Yes - I should check color settings prior to printing...

Indesign 16.1 Insert new cross reference takes 20 minutes for the panel to load
Indesign version: 16.1
Steps to reproduce: Insert new cross reference
Expected result: New Cross-Reference panel should load within an acceptable delay
Actual Result: New Cross-Reference pane takes extremely long time to load.To add a new cross reference takes about 20 minutes for the panel to load, while editing an existing cross reference is normal. The issue is common to many documents.
I tried to go back to versions 16.0 and 16.01, but had the same issue.
I have used this feature in the past and every thing was normal.

Can't see highlighted input numbers in Medium Interface after upgrading to Mac OS 11.2.1
I just upgraded my Mac to OS 11.2.1 on Sunday and noticed that when I try to highlight numbers in the medium interface in both InDesign and Illustrator I can't see what I've selected. I think the highlight color is too close to the background color. The attached file shows that Photoshop has an option for "highlight" that is not available in Indesign or Illustrator and I have also included what it looks like when I try to highlight a number. You will see a tiny blue border on the boxes where I have highlighted the numbers.
