PLEASE do not close this yet: Hyperlink alt text is ignored in the latest version of Indesign
While Ravi Kiran and Dax Castro consider this closed, my US government contact does not. I need all the hard work I put into placing this hyperlink alt text into InDesign to come across into the OBVIOUS place in the PDF. Why is that such a hard ask? It seems like it could be in both places. Buried where my client cannot find it and where they can see it easily. Please reconsider. Thank you.

Why is this so hard? It is a hard task because it is technically not the correct place for that content to appear. Properly encoded files ensure the most compatibility with current and future user agents in accordance with WCAG's robust criteria Guideline 4.1: Maximize compatibility with current and future user agents, including assistive technologies.
