Black horizontal lines appear on screen when scrolling
When I expand the Indesign window to fill 90% of my 27" screen, I get numerous black horizontal lines appearing when scrolling. Other editing functions typical when handling type on a layout also produce random broken lines. If I click a page forward or back arrow, the lines disappear. I was first using v16.2 and just upgraded to 16.3.2 today with same results. Just discovered I have to reduce the widow size to about 75% of my screen size for the lines to not appear at all. Never had this happen on previous versions and need almost full screen width to handle complicated layouts. IOS Big Sur 11.4 on 27" iMac.

Hello everyone!
I have the same issue, I tried everything with my screen, GPU ect... It didn't change anything.
Did you find a solution? -

My solution was to reinstall version 16 from 2021 and convert my documents. I tried all the solutions mentioned and couldn't get it to work until I reverted to an older version. I've submitted a couple complaints. Hopefully it gets fixed in the next update.

I have same or even worse problems, but seem to find a workaround:
Change the display resolution from "Default" to “Scaled”—Mine is a 4K monitor. Not a solution, but a temporary adjustment until Adobe fixes the issue.InDesign v 17.0.1
Mac Mini (M1, 2020) OS 11.5.2
Monitor: BenQ PD3220U (4K)On Normal or Preview screen mode, I see not only thin horizontal lines but also staggered edge on the right side of document—See attached screenshot. Also edges of outlined logo type or vector artwork sometimes shows abnormal or staggered breaks. The issue seems to disappear when I zoom in/out the view, but comes back as soon as I scroll or forward/back the pages.
Changing Display Performance or Preview on CPU wouldn't help. -

Same exact issue: InD v 17.0, MacBook Pro 2018, MacOS 11.6.1 Big Sur, Radeon Pro 555X 4 GB, 32Gb Ram, whether on external 4K Monitor or native Retina display.
Partially solved by switching to "View > Preview on CPU" , but there is now a definite lag in screen re-draw.
Wen Fix, dear Adobe InD Devs?Update: Just upgraded to InD 17.0.1, issue persists. Moving to "Preview w/ CPU" Introduces other screen anomalies when scrolling, objects getting 'sliced' into horizontal strips. Checking [x] review in the styles boxes does not actually show the preview of the style change being applied to text/objects. Grrr. .

SOLUTION: Under View mode, switch to Preview in CPU
I was having the same problem and decided to just start going through the view menu.

Same happens here all the time (ID 16.3.2 on 2020 iMac 27" with AMD Radeon Pro 5700XT 16GB and 128 GB memory). It goes away by switching to preview and back, but appears again just a few seconds later totally random. Sometimes many horizontal lines, sometimes only two or three.

Similar problem with In Design 16.2.1 on macOS Mojave 10.14.6 on 27" iMac. Small black horizontal lines appear sporadically when a texte frame is modified. They leave easily, but not without some kind of manipulation. It's very tiresome. My 2 colleagues with similar set-ups have the same problem.
