Instead of making a new package every time it would be really handy to be able to update an existing package.
proposed Use Case/action:
a new menu item: Update Package… > Show package in Finder/Windows Explorer > Only the items that are not in the existing package will be added (the items in the package that are not used will be kept in the updated package)

@Adobe WE NEED THIS! This would be an absolute life saver. I have to edit countless packaged files, and this would speed up workflow tremendously.

I am working in a Creative Agency and we have hundreds of changes that needs to be done on projects, and I need always to make changes and then again to create a new package. It would be A MUST, to have such a function to UPDATE the packages.

Yes this would save so much time. Quark does this automatically. I work with a team and we save all previous revisions plus their images, so I'm constantly packaging and figuring out what the new images are to drag into the original Links folder. Putting this on my xmas list, InDesign--hint hint!
Yes!!! This would be an excellent feature.
