Duplicating pages in InDesign - but not at the end of a document
When duplicating pages in Indesign they always appear at the end of the document. We should be able to select where in the document we want the pages to be added, as we do when inserting new pages.
So, 'Duplicate Pages''; "Insert Before/After page XX" etc
Hi everyone,
This feature is available in Adobe InDesign 2023 version.
Please update to this InDesign version to work with this feature.

Pros for the Developers - very easy to implement. You will just have to change the title, captions, and disable the limitation of copying pages into the current document, without deleting them in the original position.
Right now we are even able to duplicate pages via Move page function, but only across documents, why???

The pages, duplicated through "duplicate page menu" are placed after the last page, which is usually the last page of the cover. They aren't needed there. Frankly speaking they are needed elsewhere. The duplicated spread should provide a dialog similar to moving page with the same options. That why it is user friendly to merge those options in one dialog.
Even the current implementation of the move dialog would work if the option to keep the moved pages was awailable for the current document. I don't understand why it was blended out in the first place.
The dialog must be prepopulated with the currently selected range pages. Aswell as destination for the current document should be by default the next page after the selected range.
We could even leave the duplicate option on it's place if there is any poor soul who would like to keep using it.
See the attachment.

Duplicate Page, without the new page jumping to the end of the doc. This is valuable since I need to print doublesided-same art. Page1-2 is one same card; Pg 3-4 on same card, etc.
