Option to split table rows across pages
Lord please, if you're up there, answer our INDD prayers and make this a feature. A LOT of tables have rows with more content than can be held in a single page or bottom of a page. It's impossible to layout a continuous book or brochure if I can't get the table text to split - it doesn't have to be the default, but give me the option - please, please. WORD does this, be better than Word!!

commentedAre you crazy? you don't have an option for this? This feature had been available on word for literal years, for an app meant for the creative industry why haven't you figured this out yet? More over, Id's UI is horrible. Start using InDesign is like experiencing productivity apps back in the early 2000s, obscure, clunky, and counterintuitive. Literally an afterbirth of all adobe apps

commentedMaybe you can define "soon." As in "this year", "this millennium," "this geological epoch" . . . ? "Soon" is beginning to sound like "BS." Hey, Adobe: step up and FIX THIS!

commentedHow soon can we expect this feature to roll out? It's been almost 2 years since work on this item was started so I really hope it's available soon.

commentedYep, Adobe be the honest - give us date! We don't believe it that you "started". It looks like fairy tale!
499 votes, what do you need else here?

commentedCould you please confirm the approximate release version/month for this feature? I could see from your post that you have started this feature last year march, but still no updates about this feature. This is very important feature to format accounts and financial related tables. Also when we work with Mathematical books with lot of worked example tables, we have to spend lot of time to break rows into multiple pages.

Petru Strimbeanu commented I've changed 6 places of work since 2003 when I've started using InDesign (version 2.0.2). Now I'm changing my profession, exactly when InDesign 2021 came out, and this feature is still not implemented. Goodbye InDesign!

commentedI never realised table rows couldn't split across columns until now. Such a basic requirement. I might rarely need it but come on Adobe this can't be hard!!!

commentedYes please, that's why we pay so much money each year for Adobe CC. At least give us updates or an explanation why this takes so long! It is your obligation to your users.

commentedAdding the option to allow cells to split across pages would be helpful to a lot of us. https://sites.google.com/view/davidrichard/
