Enable Animated/Scrubby Zoom
Add the animated/scrubby zoom feature for PC users--it's time. It's ridiculous Photoshop and Illustrator has it, but not InDesign? Since Mac users are given tools PC users don't have, perhaps Adobe should discount our subscription fee.

It's a must. Animated zoom is so much comfy and more dynamic, no need to select any area, click alt to reduce and go crazy, just click and drag as simply as that.

I started to learn InDesign today, and first thing I learned is that it doesn't have scrubby zoom. In 2023? How that is even possible?
My frustration with Adobes inability to fix basic UI issues across their product line is getting unbearable. I wish they would concentrate on basics for a while, instead of AI toys.

How is this still not a feature after all these years? Infuriating for Windows users to have scrubby zoom in two essential programs, but have it disabled in the third when you KNOW the tech is there and more than capable of being implemented

Knock knock Adobe, it's us, the paying customers. You figured this out in other Adobe apps on Windows, why are you treating Indesign as it was your stepchild?

Please, It is very important to have animated zoom in Indesign, it makes the workflow very fast and fluid, and especially when you have been using it for years in other Adobe apps, like Illustrator and Photoshop.

I don't think I'd use indesign at all if it weren't for it being required for a class I'm taking and the biggest reason is this issue.

my brain fuses.... you do it in other adobe products and not on Indesign ?
Can't you just copy the code from them and paste>adapt it in Indesign and voila , we have all adobe products working in unison.
Lack of zoom is a huge bottleneck in Indesign that prevent me from working in a "flow mode"... -

How, 5 years later, is Scrubby Zoom still not a thing in InDesign? I almost exclusively use scrubby zoom on Illustrator or Photoshop. It's become such a staple of my workflow that I'm taking time out of my very busy day to beg you to add it to InDesign. UX should be a priority for a company that has positioned itself as the leader in the design field and the fact this still isn't an option on Windows (though apparently it is on Mac) is a problem.

It's really annoying getting used to the animated zoom in every other adobe program I use, then switching to InDesign and being deprived of it. Interrupts workflow immensely.

The lack of an animated zoom feature slows down work flow terribly and is extremely frustrating, especially when illustrator and photoshop has it. Please add it to windows.

Illustrator and Photoshop, the two programs I use the most both have an animated zoom, so when importing them into indesign and then immediately having to change the way I zoom is incredibly frustrating
