SELECT + RELINK of Single Image File in MULTIPLE INSTANCES based on a DEFINED SELECTION of Multiple Links in LINK PANEL!
You can Relink an Image File in the LINKS PANEL in
(A) ALL INSTANCES
(B) 1 (ONE) INSTANCEBut not MULTIPLE INSTANCES based on a DEFINED SELECTION of Multiple Links. To do so presently requires the NEEDLESS REPETITION of Re-Linking for each instance at great time and expense!
I am sure this is an IMPORTANT NEED for many users workflows.
Please add this feature ASAP!!! Urgent need for us and I am quite sure many many others!

I need a way to relink images across all open documents.
When I go to relink an image that is now in a different folder, and that image is inside of 7 different files, I'd like to be able to tell one file where the image is, and the other ones can also use that same image, with some kind of toggle to disable that if for some reason I didn't want all the images to use it.

Manually adjust width of columns in text frame
When there are multiple columns in a text frame, the width of each column is automatically divided evenly between the number of columns and the width of the frame. It would be nice to be able to manually change the width of those columns so they are not automatically all the exact same width, or height for that matter. I'm thinking much like how columns in a table can be adjusted, and then when the whole table is changed you can elect to have the manually adjusted columns shift accordingly or not. It would be nice to get the same…

Double page / spread preview
I would appreciate a double page / spread preview for single page documents. That would allow me to work with single pages to achieve certain bleed needs (example: single printed menu card sheets that need bleed all around - but still show as double pages inside the menu book) while still being able to see the layout as a whole. That saves the time of sticking the pages together and separating them afterwards again.
This requests asks for a different approach, but I assume for the same purpose: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/31305193-auto-speads-into-pages

Change 'Object Layer Options' on multiple images at the same time
It would be a massive time save if it were possible to change the Object Layers Options on multiple images at the same time.
We build four layer products images in PS with layers across all images named the same:
Product, FlatShadow, StandingShadow, Reflection
When we have 40 products on the page and the customer decides they want the products all to have a reflection, at the moment we have to switch each images Reflection layer on singly. Then in the next round the customer may decide they want no Reflection or Shadow at all. Again we have to switch…6 votes -
Snap to frame edges/layers
In Photoshop, there are very robust options for snapping to guides, grids, layers, document bounds, etc. each of which can be turned on and off individually.
In InDesign, snapping is much more limited and it is only possible to snap to guides. This means that whenever snapping is desired, guides must be created, which is an extra step that could be streamlined by expanding snapping options to be more like Photoshop.

InDesign's own favourite 'edit original' software
With the feature "edit original" in the context menu of images, InDesign opens the image in the OS-default software.
I Think it would be handy to choose a different default edit-software for InDesign only.
If i want to use this feature (especially with shortcuts) I have to set the default software for all images to photoshop (system-wide!). But I do not want to use Photoshop everytime as a default for every image, it's only necessary in InDesign.
It would be great if I could set a default editing software in the settings of InDesign, in wich I can set the…

Add and option to auto-convert RGB images to CMYK in Indesign, instead of doing it in Photoshop
When we package any file from Indesign, we many times need to make sure, that all images are in CMYK color profile before sending it to printer. We get warnings if images aren't in CMYK, but it would be nice to have an option to auto-convert all images to CMYK, instead of individually going in Photoshop.

Add double align tool
Often I find myself needing to align an object to both vertical AND horizontal centers of an object (for example, an icon in a box, or a number in a circle). It would be great to have one button that will align both vertically AND horizontally at once. This would allow me to set a shortcut and knock out work more quickly!

Please bring back Mini Bridge
Mini Bridge was an awesome feature that I, as a graphic designer, miss greatly. It made laying out books that were hundreds of pages long with tons of pictures so much easier!! Please bring it back!

Vertical tabs (for better vertical justification in/between para spacing)
There are already similar requests for a fix for the Vertical Justification problem & I'm dealing with this at the moment: several paragraphs & needing the bottom-most para (a 2-line inline table) to appear on the bottom line of the text frame. I have spent so many hours & tried setting it in a table (amongst other things) but, really, it makes more work & I need a Paragraph Border at the sides as a column rule - which was great in a table but which doesn't seem to work on the bottom table paragraph. I'd prefer it as non-table…

Please add the possibility to place multi-page ID and PDF files like multiple images with gridify function
When placing a multi-page InDesign or PDF file it should be possible to use the gridify function the same way as when users place multiple images.

inverted color option with objects
When I select a text I really like how something looks when it's inverted by having it selected. having a feature that allows you to draw a shape so it inverts colours underneath would be cool. I can't seem to figure out how to do this in any other way.

X + Y Location
We have the X and Y fields to get exact locations of objects. It would be nice to have a button that would copy BOTH the X and Y location, and then allow you to paste that location with an object selected.
This would be useful if you have several pages where a different logo (or copy) on each page needs to be in the same location. You could grab the X/Y location of the logo on the first page, then go to other pages and paste that X/Y location to make sure each logo on each page is in…

Placed images should place based on resolution, not size.
When placing 300 dpi image into 72 ppi environment, it should place as real size (perhaps with warning if much larger than placing environment), and vice versa: when placing 72 ppi image into 300 dpi document, it should be 24% the size.

Links panel: Place time
In "Links panel" we already have the option to add or change the columns displaying usefull info about the linked object. Choosing "Place Date" is an option to show the date when the object was placed.
Now... it would be neat if, in addition, the column could show the "time" as well.6 votes -
"Ignore Text Wrap" checkbox in Toolbar / Accessible in Quick Apply
A box in the Toolbar to check "Ignore text wrap" - for this box; And either/or make the command accessible in the quick apply list.
I find that I am doing this a lot to play around with designs to adapt - or not - to a image run-around. I don't want to have to find if there is a shortcut that might address this or a script.
