    Fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign 2020 – that is, InDesign 15.0.1

    In the Creative Cloud Desktop application, click on the Updates section on the left. You should be able to see the Update available for InDesign. Please update your InDesign application to this version to try out the fix.

    If you have created documents from ID15.0 where you see this issue, please do a Force Recomposition of the Text Frames (Cmd-Opt-/ on Mac, Ctrl-Alt-/ on Win) to make it work correctly.

    Let us know in the comments section if you face any problem with the updation process.

    Running 15.0.1 and having problems with baseline consistency depending on the width of the text box.

    Both text boxes in the example use the same object style. The Amount Paid box is wider than the Policy Number field. To get text to align I need to change the offset of the first baseline from 'Ascent' to 'Cap Height' (as per Luca Delpozzo suggested). In another instance, because this method didn't work, I set the offset to 'Fixed' and enter a value that aligned the baselines. I thought I'd then try that in other places but it doesn't work consistently either.

    I've got a object style that should work but I'm having to apply different variations to get consistency. The only difference between each of the text boxes is the width.

    Note in the attached images the starting point of the text moves depending on which Offset has been selected.
