The default function should be to duplicate in place just like every other program that I have ever worked in. My working files all have 1000+ pages, so duplicating to the last page in a doc is a brutal blow to workflow. It takes a solid minute to duplicate pages and drag them back to the right place. Give us a settings option or something!

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Pierce commentedI work with extremely large documents with 10,000 links. The process of duplicating a document and changing the link addresses takes hours. If relative links were incorporated, then it would dramatically simplify the process and save time.

As confirmed by a customer over the thread that the issue is fixed in InDesign 2020(v15.1.2.226).
We recommend you upgrade to either InDesign 2020(v15.1.2.226) or to the latest InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Pierce commentedPlease address this! Being forced to sync an evolving temp file can cause massive delays. (especially with plugins) At this point, the only way to work with large files and exports is to shutdown or pause the dropbox app. I am currently running an export that typically takes 4 hours and I am already at the 12 hour point with a ways to go because I forgot to disable dropbox sync!

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Pierce commentedPlease let me know if I should re-post this to "bug" or "UI" for it to get noticed. I know that most users aren't using a large number of document links, but for those of us who are it is a massive issue. This is really a basic UI oversight and should be an easy fix. Hopefully it doesn't get ignored because of a lack of votes...

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Pierce commentedPlease restore the video from URL option without flash support. In the very least YouTube URL video placement should be supported. Many of us use these in our interactive kiosk designs and web based publications.
