The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2023(v18.2.1.455). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

An error occurred while saving the comment B. Osteneck commentedSorry: In my former comment I meant "Click and Drag", not "Drag and Drop".
An error occurred while saving the comment B. Osteneck commentedYES, I also agree, please fix this!!!
Some ideas on how it might be realized:
- Drag and Drop is not restricted on objects on just one page spread (as is now)
- After selecting objects on one spread, you can shift-select objects on another spread thus expanding your selection (instead of replacing the first selection which gets lost, as is now)
- Layers window: The button "Select elements on <layer XY>" selects the elements of the selected layer in the whole document (not just the elements on one spread, as is now), unless something is currently selected
I can report that after updating to version 17.3, and after deleting Indesign's cashes and preferences folders in the Library as described, the problem persists. Still some fonts that in fact are OTF are reported as "OTF Type 1" and claimed not to be supported any longer from 2023.
